Why did Randy Gregory withdraw his appeal?

Why would he withdraw his appeal? What did he have to lose? Seems weird especially when there where rumors going around that he most likely was going to win his appeal.

I think the nfl just confirmed the 4 game suspension, and people assumed the 10 game was overturned. But they hadn't announced the 10 gamer yet.

It's sort of their fault for being so slow with their announcements
Ah, makes sense. What a cluster.

Font the cowboys handle lawyer fees when dealing with the NFL? I'm really not sure
Honestly, no clue. I could see there being rules against it. Though, if I'm not mistaken, the players association has a fund set up to help its members with attornies fees (could be wrong on that though).

Might be something to that... Might also be really expensive for him to continue the fight.
How's it expensive? Money doesn't come out of his pocket during the appeals process. He only had money to gain by appealing and getting his game checks.
