IEdit: Also liked the way he took the helmet-to-helmet shot and held onto the ball on his second long catch.

Over meticulous, eh? :)

I also like the fact that that second long pass route was, according to Drew Bledsoe, an "improv"..that the play was not designed for him to take it deep, but Terry adjusted to the realities of what was happening on the field.

That's the kind of quote that of course gets ignored.

LOL. Outrageous goes right along with being a fan-atic. :)
Well, we are all fanatics but some of us draw the line at stuff like wishing injury on rival team players or accusing them of trying to throw games, an offense that would get you banned from the sport in a heartbeat.

To each his/her own, but the day my gut reaction is to even suspect such a thing from a player, any player, but especially one on my own team, I will take up another hobby.

You do realize that I was just joking about Terry not trying to score on purpose. If not, that is the case. I thought it was a strange end to the play, but strange things happen in the game of football.

Glad you clarified because I had my doubts when I read your initial comment.

Which was:

I actually thought at the time that Glenn must owe some bookie money and didn't try to score on purpose.

Frankly, even if you had been serious, that would be your right. And on this board, (and it's older version) where I recall a long bashing thread about why Glenn "jumps so much" coming a week after his three TD performance in Detroit in 2003, where he is raked over the coals for "never playing a full season yet in Dallas" (sic), gets called Tersina, scarecrow, etc, and bears the burden of usurping "AB's rightful place", nothing would surprise me.

I sure don't expect the players I like the most to be general favorities, but this particular one just can NEVER catch a break.

I don't get some of the barbs that Terry gets. Some goes back to Parcells "she" comment, so people think they can build on that. He is not one of my favorites, but he does his job very well. His job being getting into open spaces and using his speed and quickness. So far that is working well. I thought he should have relied more on just his speed on that play and not on his quickness to try and cut back in.

Makes no matter since Dallas scored a TD on the drive and won the game. I can only imagine how many longs threads would have been generated if Dallas doesn't score and lost the game. I much rather discuss it with some humor now than if that other situation occurred. :)

Another thing about this play is that it was simply an amazing play by Bledsoe. First, he avoided a couple of defenders, rolled out to his left (more difficult for a right handed QB), set and delivered a rocket to Glenn IN STRIDE.

The field level replay (second replay) shows the velocity best, IMO. Nice, tight spiral, too.

No doubt. Very well done by Drew.
