Why didn't Hooker try to advance that interception?

My impression was that he thought he was gonna get decked any second, and when he realized there wasn't anyone there, he thought about getting up but decided it was too late.

because he's stupid and wanted to put the offense in a bad spot. That way the Rams could get the ball back at a better spot.

if he would of ran out and fumbled we would call him out.

Incorrect. He caught the ball at around the 3. The game was far from over and he could have got the offense away from our own endzone. It was a boneheaded move that didn't cost us. There wasn't a Ram within 15-20 yards. Get the hell up and run. It's a field position game at this point. It's as if he thought the game was over.

It seemed like either the coaches were telling him to get down or maybe he thought there was way less time left in the game? It was strange

Maybe he's a fumbler? There are some guys who really shouldn't be trying to be a hero.

Probably just thought we could run out the clock. Or, you know, make a first down.

Law of averages.

He knew cementing the pick was the way to get the win by all reasonable odds.

Probably coached to do that.

I'm really glad he did it honestly. Take the bird in the hand and don't play hero ball.
