The Niners undrafted RB has some pop to him. He hits the hole hard. Obviously our RB situation is a concern. We only had 70 yards rushing between Zeke, Dowdle and Vaughn. However, there weren’t a lot of holes to run through. The run blocking wasn’t great.

That is my point. If you don't have holes it is difficult to run regardless who and how much you pay your RB.

Niners had similar results with an undrafted RB in place of McCaffrey. Did the Niners just waste $64M? I hope so.

I'm still not a fan of Elliott and still think he's lots his speed. We are paying Elliott $3 million this year.

While Aaron Jones is getting 3.5 million. I don't know why we didn't even look at Jones at all. Elliott is Elliott. He can't break tackles and has lost his speed. Our run game will end up biting us this season because we went with Elliott and not look at other alternatives.

So stuck with dak and zeke for another 4 years !

With the quickness, speed and elusiveness McCafferty has that’s what contributes to him not being touched. It’s not like he’s running through gaping holes every time. He’s able to make defenders miss. He’s a great back.

I wouldn't mind. Now with Dak signed it's clear that Jerry thinks our Superbowl window is still open. So they have to fill holes now. DT is still an issue, but the major challenge is the RB position. And I'm expecting McCaffrey level RBs here. Trade your heart and soul for one if you can't find him in the draft, but do something quick. Purdy could go all the way because he hasn't to do it all alone. Now the Cowboys did something about their o line, RB has to come next.

I don’t blame OP. Aaron Jones was easy to want after watching him curb stomp our defense in the Playoffs. Hoping it works out season long with what we have. Zeke looked okay but he’s always okay in the beginning before the grind begins. Just because you’re tough enough to play through it doesn’t necessarily mean you should if the results aren’t there. Looks like they want to give Zeke heavy snaps in first half and let Rico do the rest?

Hard to watch these guys playing for other teams and not scratch your head. It's a glaring mistake, and I'd hate to see it derail this season.
But, Jerry and Co. are watching. , they make a move.
