Twitter: Why do Cowboys fans get labeled as bandwagoners?

We're leading the league in attendance for the 10th year in a row. Granted, we have the biggest stadium, but I highly doubt most teams would get up to 90k+ every game if they had the capacity.

Meanwhile, compare us to Atlanta. They have a new world-class stadium and were in the Super Bowl three years ago, now look at them. The photo below was taken 2 minutes into the 1st quarter today.

I'm sick of hearing about how much we're bandwagoners. If anything, we are one of the most loyal fanbases in the NFL.

Most don’t even know what that term means. Like who would bandwagon to a team that hasn’t won in 25 years?

I think the term is reserved for all of the out-of-nowhere fans that show up when this team is winning.

People use other words like trashy, annoying, pathetic, delusional, etc.

I agree with the sentiment but you can’t really go by home attendance. For as much as this team’s fans fill up opposing stadiums on the road, AT&T is frequently filled up by road teams’ fans as well. The big stadium does play into that.

I think it stems from the Cowboys overwhelming popularity not only in the United States but globally.
I guess you can chalk it up to the envious Cowboy hating crowd.

They probably carried over that idea from the 90's, when there actually were a ton of bandwagoners.

Cause that’s how great this team used to be. We were so awesome that we have sucked for 30 years now and fans STILL can’t get over their hatred for us

Living in va, Commander fans are no where to be found
