If you do it every 2nd and short, the other team knows it's coming and shuts it down.2nd and short is when you should go for a big play... If not then, when?

Ever stop to think Kellen's system makes the players?I can't speak for others but I can certainly tell you why I personally want him gone.. It really comes down to one thing. Lack of feel for the game. "Yards are yards.." You remember that statement? When Moore tried to tell us that there is no difference between a 4 yard pass and a 4 yard run? That was the moment when I knew for sure that he doesn't get football and never will. It's not that he's a bad OC.. in fact he's a very good one overall. But I think the supreme talent of some of our players mask a lot of his deficiencies. We have a running play from shotgun that pulls the backside tackle across the formation and asks the running back to wait for that tackle to get to the hold before he hits it. At least 90% of the time when we run that play the backside defender just follows the backside tackle straight to the hole and the play is either blown up for a loss or at best Zeke and TP struggle ahead for a minimal gain. Every once in a while that backside DE will NOT follow the tackle and that tackle gets into the hole with a head of steam and blasts the linebacker out of the hole for a big gain. And that one big gain makes everybody forget the other 9 times the play got blown up.
Then there is the RIDICULOUS frequency with which we break the huddle in empty formation in the red zone. With one of the best short yardage runners in history in our backfield our go to is 5 wide empty backfield.
And last but not least.. his unwillingness to exploit favorable matchups on the reg. CeeDee had 100 yards and a TD at halftime.. and we barely looked in his direction in the second half. Moore seems to view the players as interchangeable chess pieces instead of taking their varied skillsets into account. I think this team has amazing offensive talent which a better OC would get even more out of it than we're even getting right now. I think that becomes even more important come playoff time.

I'm laughing @ all the comments that say look how great we are...36pts a game since Dak came back.
Breaking news.....we are still under performing.
Why???? Some of it is because of the poor QB play....
Some if it is because....this system is a mis mash of stuff just thrown together. When Kellen gets in a groove....that's when he's using the old BSU system...most BSU fans can see it. We got spoiled here in Boise with 50pt games.
But the fact is....this team is still underachieving under this system. If Kellen were allowed to cut loose with his system...and a decent QB that didn't turn the ball over....
Maybe we could get over the hump.
