Why do so many Cowboys fans make better decisions than the Cowboys front office?

Not really fair. We get schooled by Rockport on a daily basis. The front office doesn't get that education.

Because fans look solely at the football angle of things, how to better improve the roster. The Jones look at things from a business perspective, what's popular vs what's practical.

Zeke over Ramsey was a clear choice to help Romo. Problem is, we didn't expect Romo to go down in preseason. with a healthy romo in 2016 we make the NFCCG. I really don't care how well Dak was playing, when Romo was healthy I think he should have gotten his job back. Good chance we beat GB with Romo playing.

Also not every deal made or not made has all the information. They see, for example Dalvin Tomlinson go to the Vikes. Why didn't Dallas pursue him? Maybe they did and realized their budget for that position does not fit. Fans want the Ferrari but fail to understand the FO has a budget it may be Mustang GT money, its possible its gently used ford escort money but either way you can only make suggestions in the budgeted price range.

No teams FO is going to bat a thousand on decisions.....but refusing to change philosophy after 25 years of nothing is downright stupid.

Yes, we know Brandon Carr didn't play up to his contract, but that was ten years ago and the rest of the league uses FA to improve.

They want every FA to be a bargain or they won't go near them.

Yet....the sky is the limit for someone already in house.

Jerry wants and needs to be liked by the players. Its a big happy family with the best of the best as a surrounding environment.

His opinions on players are 100% affected by this.

However, there were an equal number of Cowboys fans who were clamoring for Ramsey and Watt. It's sickening thinking about how much better the Cowboys would be with Ramsey and Watt.

They are not making better decisions, they just think they do. Whine loud enough and others think they are correct.

a lot of people say everything all the time. its not that one or two or three members get it right most of the time, somebody at some point guesses it right, so it seems that the zone gets it right......perhaps, there should be a voting processes and we go by that consensus....

Agree. Though we all debate each other here I’d rather watch 3-4 people for this board go through what’s best for the team than Jerry snd his team at times. They are ensnared with “what could be” than reality of injuries etc

I remember a lot of Cowboys fans were upset Dallas took DWare over Shawn Merriman. Some called Ware a bust when Merriman won ROY. Then they played the rest of their careers.

We tend to remember the times fans got it right.

In hindsight, yeah. Tell me, do you think Ramsey would have had more of an impact in 2016? Would the Cowboys have extended Ramsey? They let Byron walk.

There are no consequences if were wrong. They want to be right as much as they can and they will overpay to prove it. It's about selling tickets in the end. Were better today cause we signed the same QB who went 8-8 in his last full season and was sub .500 to start the 2020 season. But they sell this crap to guillable fans every single year. They'll draft well on paper, sell it to fill seats and watch this team struggle to win 8 games and be happy about it. Their formula is less about winning than it is about printing money.
