May I make a suggestion?
Make the ignore feature easier to find.

Did you ever go to the DMN forum?cobra said:I am wondering why we permit users to intentionally cause disharmony for the sake of their own agendas.
This is a good board with lots of strong content.
But certain users have obvious agendas and create substance-free posts just to start fights.
I am thinking of one user in particular who has tried to make about 10 threads in the last week about Quincy Carter. That guy doesn't play for our team and hasn't played for us for almost three years. There is absolutely no reason for people to be making posts about him unless they are trying to push their agenda or start fights, which not surprisingly always happens.
I don't understand why the mods permit this kind of action.
This is a great board, but it is a community too. I don't see why certain people should be permitted to slap at the community for their own purposes.
I am not sure if this is the best place to bring it up, but I think it should be addressed. I don't know what other way to bring it to discussion.
One persons troll is another person's hero.abersonc said:I don't mean to argue the point or the policy.
However I disagree with this approach. Most recommendations for dealing with trolls suggest that they be ignored -- if users know who others are ignoring, that would go a long way to solving the problem board-wide.
If the best way to deal with a troll is to limit that troll's audience then knowing who others are defining as trolls would help all of us use the ignore option more effectively.

I've been playing quite a bit of Neverwinter Nights lately and reading Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series.
IOW... I've been completely nerding out lately!

I've been to other boards where its a bannable offense to disagree with the mods. In most cases, they are too cowardly to deal with someone who actually disagrees with them. They'd rather ban you and have a happy little band of sycophants. How interesting is that?
Some of the best discussion I have is with people I disagree with the most.
I don't mind individuals who excite trollistic fights, we just can't get overly emotional about this sport.junk said:At least the moderators allow you to have an opinion here and typically don't allow it to erupt in a full fledged disaster.
