with out analyzing and looking past the surface. I going to post some statistics

2007 receptions yards td

Crayton- 50 697 7
Witten-96 1145 7
Owens-81 1355 7
Roy (12gms) 64 838 5

2008 receptions yards td

crayton-39 550 4 (drop off)
witten-81 952 4 (drop off)
Owens-69 1052 10 (drop off)
Roy (10gms) 19 198 1 (drop off)

Just look over for a second while I rant. TO is gone...FINE...i dont like it but I still love the boys cause thats my team, BUT CAN WE PLEASE STOP WITH THE OWENS LOST A STEP BULL CRAP. Unless every Receiver on this team lost one. This shows me one thing Qb play was worse (injuries included) and offensive scheme was not adjusted to the adjustments other teams made (GARRETT). But if you put Romo back in the line up of the games he missed TO puts up similar numbers.

One more thing...If you notice Witten had a number of more catches than TO last year (same as this year). Never heard a word about it, so could it be that the team losing was more of an irritant than than Witten catching more balls. Just a thought.

I personally wish TO the Best and I hope we fix our other problems (scheme, and careless qb play) so that we can get six.

GO :starspin

All you have to do is watch the film. He use to throw CBs around if they tried to press him and now he no longer can do that.

I also saw him catch felix jones from 10 yards back to block when both were in a dead sprint.

I'm more impressed with the ones that just say, "hey, I don't like the guy personally" than the frauds that claim he's lost a step, he wasn't productive. Say anything you want about the guy character, but if you have the nerve to address his play, you're an idiot.

He's the only Cowboy in history to be cut, that can still dominate. They cut him purely because he complains.

he still has good speed once he gets a head of steam. but his stop and start speed ain't what it used to be. John Madden said in 2006"I don't know why teams press Owens cause it never works". 2 years later it works very effectively.

Didnt Owens get hurt at the end of 07 and didnt the team try to get Witten more catches in a meaningless game so he could record 100 catches?

The Cowboys cant win with or without OWENS, so let the guy who most ppl dislike go... it happens everyday in real life!

I hear ya. I'm the same with those who just say or imply that the Dallas Cowboys cannot be successful without Terrell Owens.

Why double team the guy then? I would never double team a guy that couldn't dominate, just say you don't like that guy, that would help your case. BTW, your boy is on the hot seat now, you'd better start focusing on him and praying that he gets his **** together or bye-bye.

There is a lot more to the game than long speed. His quickness is what he's missing. (Dimenished skills) He was #1 in dropped passes and his attempts to catches percentage was horrible.

are you stupid or just still on the rag that your favorite player is no longer a cowboy? like i said when he gets a head of steam he's still dangerous but he has too much trouble getting off the jam and is slow when attempting to get off the jam. and what's this "your boy" crap? he's your qb too. if you're gonna act like a little baby cause "your boy" got cut than when he signs with another team go do play by play for them on there website.

Now you admit he lost a step? What happened to this:
BUT CAN WE PLEASE STOP WITH THE OWENS LOST A STEP BULL CRAP.
Sounds like your the one spouting Bull Crap. I was supportive with bringing him in but I always had the understanding that he would be gone once he wasn't worth the headache. That time has come.

And a Star.

The big blue one on the side of his helmet.

:laugh2:

And ask any coach and they will tell you he doesn't the same quickness he once had to avoid the press coverage at the LOS.

I just saying that this Dbag isnt a Cowboy any more, and there is no point in defending him any longer.

He is back to being the scum bag that disgraced Texas Stadium.

First things First.
What are you talking about. I did not admit he lost a step. I said if he did lose a step, I would be fine with people saying it (your original question was "what do you care if he lost a step) but there is no proof of that, and I provided numbers to show either everyone lost a step, or there was something else going on. How am I spouting bull crap.

2nd

why are you telling me "that time has come". My post stated I didnt agree but it is what it is. Lets fix our other problems, and get 6. GO Cowboys.

*Shrugs* I think it's now become useless to debate the point of rather he lost a step of quickness, or not, because he's not on this team anymore and isn't going to be so it no longer matters to the Dallas Cowboys.
