Why do you like or dislike Dak?

I hear what your saying K. But to expect these players to place the intent of the team ahead of their interest isn’t realistic IMO.

Take care of me first then I’ll do the best I can for the sum. But winning isn’t more important than making money.

There was a time in sports when winning directly correlated with success. I’m not sure that’s always true now. There never a guarantee when your last play could be and career over. You must get the money while you can.

Team loyalty on the most part is out the door. And thats not all of the players fault. They didn’t create the atmosphere and culture with the Cap, etc in today’s era.

I hear ya though cause you’re trying to win championships and you see the damage done. And what aides a better situation for the sum which unfortunately isn’t always the players priority.

And I can’t blame them for that. It’s up to the teams Mgmt to make that all work financially . The goal of a player is to maximize their personal situation cause in the end the franchises will dump them without regard.

I wish it wasn’t this way but it is what it is.
There are many many players who do not insist on maxed out deals. Prolly the majority.

All were thought of as better passers than Dak was coming out of college. Most lived up to their hype/ draft status. Foles jumped up for that playoff run and maybe Dak can but I doubt it on this team. He's a slight upgrade from Dalton only more expensive.

Here is where everything gets sideways...if you watched everything and thought the QB play was only slightly diferent ....then I question your football acumen. Your opinion is yours but not one football analyst would back that statement. again if your argument is what can we do with a 20 million bus driver and a great defense compared to a 40 million QB and an ok defense...then ok thats a real discussion...Dalton's play was only slightly behind Dak is not a real statement that can be argued.

And yet he won more games than when Dak was playing with an OL that continued to deteriorate. Dak collected stats in losses while Dalton won uglier. I much prefer wins to your stats.

No need for elaboration if you don't want, but I'd like to see if you can name one play or moment that swayed you to like or dislike Dak as a player.
My moment was when he was on the bench and he threw his Gatorade cup to the trashcan and missed. He stood up, picked it up and put it in the trashcan. That was the moment that I started rooting hard for him.

How about what you like and dislike?

Like - Above average QB, leads well, makes plays with feet , tough and when his footwork and mechanics are good , moves the team and scores points.
Dislike - Not elite , can’t shoulder bad teams to create wins, Need the OL to be above average and receivers to create separation.

It's not about stats its about actual play..again if you really think Dalton played the QB position just slightly under Dak last year, then you don't know what your looking at when the QB is playing. If your just talking about wins then there can be a discussion on why to get a bus driver QB for 20+mill and make this defense a top 3 with the left over....problem is you have already paid the offense at most positions so all your going to get is a high priced offense with a QB that cant utilize it. Again wins and losses last year had more to do with what the other teams offense could do against the worst defense we have ever had, Dalton lost the games he needed to score 20+ in and won the games that he only needed 20 to win. If you want to win ugly then you need to cut all these top paid at thier position O players and start collecting high priced D personel....

I like the leadership.
I don't like the hate.

I like him. Dak has worked steadily to up his game. The see-it-throw-it tendencies in his first 3 years, the spin out left and chuck it move, holding on to the ball for too long... he worked to iron all those flaws out. We've seen wayyyy more Cowboys put zero effort into their game rather than work to improve it.

I like him based on what I've seen of him via the media. But I don't think he can carry a team to a Super Bowl unless the defensives and/or offensive units are top level. He's like a mobile Trent Dilfer to me.

That's a different situation. You're owning your truth. If you disliked the guy you disliked the guy. I'm just referencing people lying and not owning their truth.
"Owning their truth"
How can you know what "their truth" is if truth is a subjective and personal standard? Sounds like you are projecting your assumption as some else's motive

My assumptions are based on years of proof…..guys on this site let you know where they stand.

Call it what u want. Dak played well in losing season yay. We lost the game but hey he looked good that's what losers root for. Ill take a win over that anyday, pretty, ugly, accidently, I don't care. 5-5 beats 1-3 as lol day everyday. When we go 8-9 you can sit back and talk about how daks stats look good on paper.

It has took 22 pages for posters to express their emotions about Dak. I don’t think there is a poster on this message board that has not expressed those feelings at least 20 times in the last few months. I think we should know how each other feels at this point.
