Love dak… but to be in the top 5 I want to see him do two things this year. First off get off to better starts. In first four games last year obviously Seattle and Rams we’re tough. But the Atlanta and Cleveland games he made mistakes early and had to make huge comebacks late.

Secondly take more chances with the deep ball. In a league where it seems like every other play is a flag… If he has guys 1 on 1 he needs to take some chances and let his guys make plays. Worse case gets a PI call.

I think it’s gonna be a huge year for him though.

If I may expand on that;

“I can dig it, he can dig it
She can dig it, we can dig it
They can dig it, you can dig it
Oh, let's dig it
Can you dig it, baby”
Thank you for making me want to watch I'm Gonna Git You Sucka!.

I don’t know that I can argue that a lot nor is it worth the effort but there are certainly parallels. 2014 and 2016 are similar . I guess it what you consider elite. Romo played with 2 or 3 pro bowlers on the line in multiple years. His whole career was not defined by Phil costa and mcquisten. It’s not about who’s better Dak or Romo because they both did things better than the other. It’s more about both of them have been failed by front office
This is true.
Romo only had awful lines from 2010, 2011, 2012, and maybe half of 2013
But 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2014....all good or even great (2007, 2014)

I agree, not a Romo/Dak thread. Fwiw, he has played behind good or great lines every single full year....2016, 2017, 2018, 2019

I hope he never has to go a full season with lines like we had from 2010-2013....think Atlanta a few years ago.

Ranking our lines
  1. 2016--tie?
  2. 2014--tie?
  3. 2015...wasted...no QB
  4. 2007
  5. 2017
  6. 2019
  7. 2018
  8. 2009
  9. 2008
  10. 2006
  11. 2020
  12. 2013
  13. 2010
  14. 2011
  15. 2012

Love his heart, love the fact that the team believes in him like they did #12, I just don't trust his arm in key moments when he has to put that ball in THAT spot where only his man can catch it.

I REALLY hope he proves me wrong this year, I would really hope to see this franchise win another one before my time on this earth is done......
