I have to question why a lot of you still watch the cowboys? I feel it is fair to be disappointed in the game. It's fair to be pissed after a loss. It's fair to want your team to improve. It's fair to say players are under performing, or just need to be replaced. BUT.....

Some of you hate Jerry Jones more than you love the cowboys. Some of you hate romo more than you love the boys. Some of you love to be negative no matter how big we win or lose. It's the same ones every game. I could call you out by name, but that is neither here nor there, and wouldn't do any good. This is not the cowboys of the 90's. These aren't Lilly,Dorsett,Landry,Pearson, the triplets, moose etc. These are the cowboys of now. If it pains you more than it brings you joy to watch them, then STOP WATCHING. You obviously have lost your love for the team, your simply living on borrowed memories from the past.

I love my cowboys, and if bothers me so much when we lose. I try to re-watch the game and analyze everything I think could be changed. I talk about it all week long. I live and breathe the Cowboys. I love the star and what it represents. I know what it means, maybe the players don't... Maybe they will catch on. You can't tell me you love Dallas when you clearly hate more than you love. There is a special meaning that lays in that star. There is an special part in being a Dallas Cowboy that no other team has.And if you have lost that love for it, then I suggest you find another hobby.

Guys like you have said this in about 2343 of the threads on this board today surrounding today's game. Did you really think your own little "Oooh, look at me I'm such a good fan" post deserved its own damn thread?

Am I the only person who finds it ironic that a person with "no more excuses" in his sig made this thread?

Judging by your location "I was right about romo" I don't think your one to talk. Find a new team if you can't enjoy watching a game. If you get more interested in bashing them afterwards then you do watching the game I don't know what to say.

That is in regards to the fans. I thought that would be obvious. Guess not.

If you don't know what to say, then perhaps you should shut up and not say anything at all. We'd all appreciate it, thanks.

Learn the coping mechanisms that the human mind goes through on the conscious and subconscious level and you'll fully understand the rage posts / rant posts / im turning in my fan card posts.

I personally choose to deal with it by putting a humorous spin on all of my criticisms on the team.

Thanks for reminding me why I go on this board less each week. I used to love coming on here, now I just walk away feeling sad for those of you that can't find joy in the game anymore. A loss sucks. I get that, but you same ones say it whether we win or lose.

You realize that you are just an enabler right? I mean all of us ultimately are because we all invest money into this cesspool of an organization, but this in no way makes you a bigger fan. The homers on this board make me want to puke.

Well, if you don't enjoy this board, then go find a new board to post on.

Hmm, where have I heard that logic before? Oh yeah, you. In your OP. Perhaps you should follow your own advice.

If you lived in Steeler country like I do you would understand the hatred. When the Cowboys lose and the Steelers win it makes my week unbearable. Sundays like this one make me wish I had converted to the Steelers when I was younger.

I can say the same about you, thinking you needed an entire thread to reassure yourself of your superior fandom over others.

HAY GUYS LOOK AT ME IM HAPPY IF YOU ARENT HAPPY GO FIND A NEW TEAM TO ROOT FOR GO COWBOYS YAY!

Sure, it's just football, but when your team loses and you aren't PISSED then I'm sorry, but I would have to question the depths of your fandom.

I am pissed. I'm not going to post in 30 different threads saying how much I hate this player, or how I am never going to watch the boys again though. I just think that is pointless. As you do with my thread.I just dont see how posting all night afterwards about how much you hate the team is helping anything.

You clearly don't get what I'm talking about at all. I was never trying to make myself or anyone else look bad. I asked a simple question: If you hate the team so much, why do you even watch?

I can't speak for everybody else, but I'm tired of the excuses. I'm tired of the scapegoats. I'm tired of the choking. I'm tired of the talking the talk. I'm tired of people living the celebrity life, but curl up in a ball when ish gets thick. I want them to prove to me that they want to win. They are millionaires. I can watch the games anyway that I want to. Don't judge other people because they have higher expectations for professional millionaires who get hyped up to live up to the hype.

Dude, if I hated this team, do you think I would have sat through countless games as a kid during the 80s when they were terrible, or bothered to sit through every QC vs. Hutch wars thread when the team would win 5 or 6 games with Campoop, or subject myself to December after Romo December in the hopes that something would be different about that year and then come on here and RAGE about it when it didn't? If I hated this team I would have been a Patriots or Steelers fan long ago. Yet here I am. If anything my problem is that I care far too much.

I have to wonder how much one really does care when after a loss all they can say is WOO GO COWBOYS.

Dude, do you know how many threads are made after a game all saying the same thing? It's all hands on deck for the staff so they can merge all these one liner-threads.

Hate Romo.
Love Romo.
Wade Sux.
Fire Wade.
Fire Garrett.
Jerry sux.
Cut ABC player now!

Whiners suck
Homer

yada yada.. yada.

At least this thread had more than two lines in it.

Well I watch them because I've been a fan all my life and have watched them since I've been around 8 years old (39 years). I do, however, ask myself this very same question now. Following the Cowboys the past few years has actually caused me much more heartache and disappointment than enjoyment. Not healthy for me really because I take the losses so hard.

Muhast,

I, for one, am in complete agreement with what you're saying. Although I'm new here, I have never seen so much negativity on a sports board. I've loved the Dallas Cowboys for almost 40 years. I remember some of the games, players, plays, emotions I felt as if it were yesterday.

After today's game I was mixed with emotion. In fact, I started to physically get a fever because I was so disgusted with the outcome. I felt it coming. Something told me it was going to turn out this way. I don't know. It just felt that way.

BUT, I haven't lost one iota of love or faith in our team. I"m a die hard. And yes, sometimes you do exactly that. Die HARD. But you stick with your team no matter what. That's what a true fan does. He picks himself up off the ground, just as the players do and gets ready for next week. Newly found hope comes around Wednesday or Thursday. If you love something or someone, you stand by them, no matter what.

It amazes me how some of the "so-called" fans here knock the Cowboys. I'm not disagreeing with them. After all, everyone is entitled to their own opinions; vents their frustrations in different ways; or simply chooses to love or hate to the beat of their own drum.

But for God's sake, if you're going to be a Cowboys fan, stand by your team or get off the bus. We have 2 losses, both of which occurred on the last play of the game and some of you are ready to unload half the team. No wonder I see so many fans from other teams come here to read. They probably relish some of the things you all say.

When I was young, and confiding in my fellow Cowboys fans after a loss, we'd be disappointed.. Sure... But, it wouldn't be long before we talked about the next game and how we were gonna beat the crap out of them and turn our season into something memorable.

Keep the faith my fellow Cowboy fans. Exert some of that negative energy and attempt to turn it into something positive. It rubs off on others, believe me. You don't kick your family to the curb when things aren't going well, do you? So why do it to your team?

I don't know. Maybe the word "Fan" doesn't mean what it used to. Those of us who have watched them for a generation probably understand what I'm talking about. But get real guys. Either get on the bus or get off it. What's the purpose of posting all these hateful remarks? I made it a point to stay off this board after we lost. Cause I knew I wasn't going to say very many nice things. I see many of you couldn't manage that though. lol

Anyway, I hear what you're saying Muhast and I empathize with you. Unfortunately, there are many who care more about that "W" than they do about the team. And that's pretty sad. We all want to win. But if you're going to be Dallas Cowboys fan, then be a Dallas Cowboys fan... and quit your moaning and groaning.

Hey look, another poster arrogantly telling others how to react to a bitter defeat.
