I still watch because I am a FAN of the Dallas Cowboys through thick and thin

That said, I LOATHE Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett, and have lost all respect for Jerry Jones

The OP is like the ghost of 5countem5. Anyone who doesn't react to a game on his terms is to be excommunicated.

Hey, just as you guys can post all your negative comments, some of us can post our positive ones as well. I don't agree with some of you for hating, and some of you don't agree with me for standing up for them. You're responding to my comments just as I responded to yours. So apparantly you don't like it either.

I think I'm on the right side on this one.

On the contrary. You're attacking others who fail to live up to your pro-Dallas standards. What's "positive" about that? Us "negative" types don't need your interference or advice, okay?

You realize that you are just an enabler right? I mean all of us ultimately are because we all invest money into this cesspool of an organization, but this in no way makes you a bigger fan. The homers on this board make me want to puke.

Come on now, you are every bit the enabler that anyone else is. Because honestly Jerry Jones doesn't give a crap what you think as long as you are investing money into this organization. If you stop watching, stop buying jerseys, and stop buying tickets, then you might have some sway with Jerry or the organization as a whole.

You just don't get it DIAF. But that's alright.

Actually, you are the one who doesn't get it. Your first post claims you have never seen another board as negative as this, whihc means you are either making up fantasies to suit your agenda, or you have never been to another sports forum as they are all the same for any team in any sport.

Before I add you to my list of people who try to tell others how to think, and then insult them when they don't I will leave you with a bit of advice, don't worry about how I or others choose to work out our frustration after yet another in a 13 year ongoing series of disappointments.

I attacked no one. I questioned fan loyalty. In fact, I would say I wasn't doing anything but defending. There's a big difference.

But from the stance your taking, I can undestand how you misperceived me though.

I'm just as disappointed and disgusted as the next man or woman, but if I'm going to be negative, I formulate it into constructive critisism. Here, I see a lot of hate. A LOT of hate.

And to me, and again this is just my opinion and you can throw it out the window, that doesn't equate into being a loyal fan. If I had that kind of hate, I'd choose to move on with my life.

But hey, you have your way of looking at things and I have mine and we can agree to disagree. Just as long as you allow me the same respect for my feelings as I do for yours.

Honored to be on your list Road Runner. In fact, why don't you just ignore me altogether. That would suit me just fine.

Here's something to think about.

Ask yourself what you love. A man? A woman, your kids, your car, your job, your life???

Yeah, I love you.. but um.. only when things are going good. When you don't do the things I want from you, I'm just gonna give you a good rap in the mouth. Or disown you.. Or sell you.. Hmmm....

That's what I see some people do to the Cowboys when they lose a game. I just happen to stick by them win or lose. That ok with you? Ok good. Thanks.

I have to question why a lot of you still watch the cowboys? I feel it is fair to be disappointed in the game. It's fair to be pissed after a loss. It's fair to want your team to improve. It's fair to say players are under performing, or just need to be replaced. BUT.....

Some of you hate Jerry Jones more than you love the cowboys. Some of you hate romo more than you love the boys. Some of you love to be negative no matter how big we win or lose. It's the same ones every game. I could call you out by name, but that is neither here nor there, and wouldn't do any good. This is not the cowboys of the 90's. These aren't Lilly,Dorsett,Landry,Pearson, the triplets, moose etc. These are the cowboys of now. If it pains you more than it brings you joy to watch them, then STOP WATCHING. You obviously have lost your love for the team, your simply living on borrowed memories from the past.

I love my cowboys, and if bothers me so much when we lose. I try to re-watch the game and analyze everything I think could be changed. I talk about it all week long. I live and breathe the Cowboys. I love the star and what it represents. I know what it means, maybe the players don't... Maybe they will catch on. You can't tell me you love Dallas when you clearly hate more than you love. There is a special meaning that lays in that star. There is an special part in being a Dallas Cowboy that no other team has.And if you have lost that love for it, then I suggest you find another hobby.

Wrong. Some of us love the Cowboys more than individual members, and we aren't afraid to call those failing members out in hopes that the Cowboys will oust them ASAP so that we can get back to winning. I was a fan of the Cowboys before Romo, Wade, and Garrett were members, so I have no loyalty to them. If these clowns continue to ruin the franchise, then yes, I will hate on them. You can woohoo and cheer and sing Kumbaya all day if thats what keeps you going but some of us are not content with the losing mindset of the organization. This team has been getting ready to get ready for far to long, and us realistic thinking folk are tired of it.

DING DING DING DING DING!!!!

Yep, exactly.

When you call out a player on the team, some people make it seem like your calling out the whole team.

No one or two players are above the team and the team concept. If you aren't a part of the team concept you need to be OFF the team.

I watch because they have and will always be my team. Does not mean I have to love every player and coach who comes through here. I hated Gailey and Campo and pretty much every QB after Aikman including our current one. But they are my team. My favorite team that I have.

13 years after winning Championships seems fairly minimal to some teams that have never won a championship. We have gone 14 years before.Do we need to lose for 40 or 50 years to lose the wagon fans?

Anybody hopping on the Lions bandwagon? Detroit and Saints only teams in NFL not to make SB. Do they still have fans...of course.

Not to mention, the team is an entity, but within that entity lay all of its working parts. The players, the coaches, the owner and GM.

When a part of that entity becomes broken or doesn't work for the benefit of the team, there is an issue.

You better believe that some of these players are here for the paycheck, NOTHING else. Yeah, it's your job. But your job is a luxury and the biggest reason you're paid to play/do this job you supposedly love is due to your fans.

We fuel the team that in turn pays their players. But those players don't always want to give back to their fans.

Those are the suckers I want off this team. The ones that lay down and die when times get tough or things go south. Those that take solace in the fact that they're going home to loads of cash and won't have one problem letting their entire fanbase down as long as they're making the cheddar.

I don't have to tell you which players on our team show this kind of attitude, you can clearly pick them out. Do they play every down as if it's their last? Do they put their body in harms way for the benefit of the team? Do the constantly whiff on tackles so they can remain pretty boys for their off the field gatherings?

Those are the ones I want out.
