Why do you still watch the cowboys?

Wrong. Some of us love the Cowboys more than individual members, and we aren't afraid to call those failing members out in hopes that the Cowboys will oust them ASAP so that we can get back to winning. I was a fan of the Cowboys before Romo, Wade, and Garrett were members, so I have no loyalty to them. If these clowns continue to ruin the franchise, then yes, I will hate on them. You can woohoo and cheer and sing Kumbaya all day if thats what keeps you going but some of us are not content with the losing mindset of the organization. This team has been getting ready to get ready for far to long, and us realistic thinking folk are tired of it.

Here's something to think about.

Ask yourself what you love. A man? A woman, your kids, your car, your job, your life???

Yeah, I love you.. but um.. only when things are going good. When you don't do the things I want from you, I'm just gonna give you a good rap in the mouth. Or disown you.. Or sell you.. Hmmm....

That's what I see some people do to the Cowboys when they lose a game. I just happen to stick by them win or lose. That ok with you? Ok good. Thanks.

if you woman or you kids or what ever else you chose to compare this to thinks you have to lick the toilet seat to flush do you tell it like it is or do you just keep encouraging them saying "it's ok it will flush eventually, keep trying" ? you must not love them if you don't, right?

I know that I'll still watch no matter how bad they do. When I go for a team, I never stop. thats just the typa fan I am.

but I'll tell u one thing. I do ask myself why did I choose Dallas in the first place back in 1998. hmmm - its not like they had just won the superbowl that year. its not like they would always make the playoffs...

Dallas has given me personally as a fan - NOTHING. some good seasons, and zero playoff wins. tough luck. other fans have been real lucky to have enjoyed all the success this team had back in the 90's and years before. Not me , i was too young to know.

But I'll never let go...and hopefully sumday i'll get my chance to say I have seen Dallas win the superbowl.

meanwhile ----- DAMN we suck. :banghead:

Well it's nearly hit rock bottom. Atleast as far as the Dallas expectations go. We haven't sunk to Lions level yet, but that's next I'm afraid.

That'll just mean more picks to waste on busts.

Just because you're not spewing hate with every post after a loss doesn't mean you're not disappointed.

I've been watching the cowboys since the early 70's, this team has made me want to pull my hair out numerous times. But some of you take your hatred to an exrtreme by going to every post saying that some staff and/or player sucks. It's really quite juvenile.

We all want the best for our cowboys and they disappoint us when their performance is less then we expect. I want them to fix the problems just as much as you do. But I would never dream of insulting my fellow cowboy fans as some of you have. You should be ashamed of yourselves for such actions.

You have it all wrong, us fans that are pissed and want changes made are obsessed with the Cowboys!!! It is the only way we see that the team can get better.

We love the Cowboys so much that it physically hurts when they lose. We buy tickets, we buy merchandise, we watch every game, and some of us have entire rooms in our homes devoted to the Cowboys. Just look at the post count for alot of us on here, we are talking thousands and thousands of post on an internet message board about the Cowboys.

Do you think we would do all of this if we didnt give a crap? I watch the San Antonio Spurs during the NBA season, but I really could give a crap if they win or not. Same thing with baseball, I follow the Rangers but careless what their record is. With the Cowboys, it is totally different.

When the game is coming down to the final drive, you can feel your heart pounding, your palms are sweating, and you are sitting on the edge of your seat.........then the team blows it and it feels like somebody just kicked you in the gut. You get physically sick to your stomache to the point of wanting to vomit. You get a sense of rage that fills you with anger to the point that you want to break something. After the loss to the G-men in the 2007 playoffs I punched a hole in the sheetrock wall of my den and smashed a $150 dollar universal remote against the floor.

SO DONT QUESTION OUR LOVE FOR THIS TEAM !!!!!

In today's NFL your window of opportunity is only so big. I hate the fact that Dallas has wasted 3 years of it on the Wade Gump experiment.

If we as fans dont speak out and let Jerry know how fed up we are he isnt going to change anything. As long as 90,000 plus fans are at the games and he is making money he is content to stay the coarse.

I don't know anymore. I don't hate Jerry Jones, I don't hate Tony Romo, I might have a little bit of hatred for Wade Phillips.. but I'm tired of underachieving. I'm tired of seeing the talent on this team and constantly choking in big games. It's getting to the point that I really can't take it anymore. Maybe I'm at the crossroads to where I'll finally snap and realize not to take this so seriously, or learn to brush off losses like they're nothing, but this losing is getting ridiculously old.

Not sure how much more I can take. I lose sleep at night after games like yesterday. It's 5 AM and I'm sitting here awake reading people ***** about our team.

Guys like you have said this in about 2343 of the threads on this board today surrounding today's game. Did you really think your own little "Oooh, look at me I'm such a good fan" post deserved its own damn thread?

Like moths to a flame, here come the folks that the OP was talking about.

All you people are so funny to watch bicker and cry over one football game. The margin between two NFL teams in this league is so small. There are no gimmie games hardly in the NFL right now other than the Raiders and Rams. We played a tough one against a pretty good team, with a really good "D", in a tough and loud place to play.

Were 2-2, we can either call the season a wash and give up. Or we can man up like Keith Brooking said and get to 3-2 by beating the Chiefs.

I personally will take the 3-2 and a extra week to get ready for the Falcons Sun, October 25th.

Just because people are critical, doesn't mean they don't love there teams....it's just that not everyone sees things from Jerry's rose-coloured glasses and for three years those people have been right.

I don't care if they are or are not.

I would just hope that if they are going to tell the board they are no longer going to follow the cowboys, they stick to their word and not even bother coming to the board that is for Cowboys fans.

I have no problem if someone does not wish to continue following this team, just man up and do what you say.

If not, don't waste my time with dramatic posts of how you will not follow the team.

In other words, Cowboy up or move on.

I hate the cowboys owner and main coaches as FOOTBALL people. Not as real people obviously, they're all decent people without question. All over their head in their respective jobs (GM, HC, OC, DC)

I now HD-DVR the games to watch at night, depending on the stupid-o-meter reading from the recaps. I don't double-down on a loser or miracle-odds, unlike Jerry.

I follow to some degree on my windows smartphone (i can watch any thing on my HD-DVR live on my smartphone). I had expectation of a loss yesterday and true to form it was a typical stupid-filled loss.

Right on cue.

So in short i will NEVER waste a minute of my undivided attention on JERRYS FRAUDS playing a live game. Not even the playoffs. Many here will, which is sad for them. I will go to a few games at sports bars with friends & watch several games simultaneously, i'll enjoy my friends company more than watching Jerry's Dysfunction.

Jerry is a flippin football idiot & so are his hand-picked dunces. Change all of that and Cowboy fans will benefit.

Until then we're fans IN SPITE of jerruh.

I have to question why a lot of you still watch the cowboys? I feel it is fair to be disappointed in the game. It's fair to be pissed after a loss. It's fair to want your team to improve. It's fair to say players are under performing, or just need to be replaced. BUT.....

Some of you hate Jerry Jones more than you love the cowboys. Some of you hate romo more than you love the boys. Some of you love to be negative no matter how big we win or lose. It's the same ones every game. I could call you out by name, but that is neither here nor there, and wouldn't do any good. This is not the cowboys of the 90's. These aren't Lilly,Dorsett,Landry,Pearson, the triplets, moose etc. These are the cowboys of now. If it pains you more than it brings you joy to watch them, then STOP WATCHING. You obviously have lost your love for the team, your simply living on borrowed memories from the past.

I love my cowboys, and if bothers me so much when we lose. I try to re-watch the game and analyze everything I think could be changed. I talk about it all week long. I live and breathe the Cowboys. I love the star and what it represents. I know what it means, maybe the players don't... Maybe they will catch on. You can't tell me you love Dallas when you clearly hate more than you love. There is a special meaning that lays in that star. There is an special part in being a Dallas Cowboy that no other team has.And if you have lost that love for it, then I suggest you find another hobby.
