Why do you think Jerry has kept Garrett around?

His ability to adjust his scheme in game is different than his players playing hard. And what games have you seen them lay down?
I've never said they don't play hard. He's a good talker and motivator, but you have to play smart football, especially when you aren't as talented as the other team. He was a good play caller, he needs to over rule Linehan when the situation calls for it

Because Jason makes Jerry comfortable. Garrett is like a family member, and as Jerry has said, this is a family business.

If Jim Garrett hadn't worked for Jerry, Jason wouldn't be the coach here. It really has nothing to do with Jerry thinking he's a great coach.

Jerry keeps thinking that he's going to let him go and then he's going to go on to another franchise and become Belicheck or something. That's why he's still here. The old man is delusional and doesn't want to train the guy and then he use all this "knowledge" he's acquired and lead another team. :muttley:

This is like the opposite of a Belechek in Cleveland scenerio. The good graces of the Jones family are about all that has kept Garret's career afloat. Watching this amazon series has been eye opening. Garret seems to excel most at public speaking and palling around with everyone. Everyone likes him at the Star.
