Why does Jerry lie?

I think the fan based has changed dramatically. The long time 70’s and 90’s fans have backed off considerably and today there is an increasing Latin fan base. They are good fans, they scream and yell and cheer and pay money for tickets and merchandise but they could care less about legacy - to them it’s about those three hours on game days.

That’s it - probably not a bad way to be at this point.

Yeah but the latino part of the fanbase isn’t what’s putting billions in Jerry’s pocket. Some people are lying about not supporting this team. Anyone from the 70s who isn’t a Cowboy fan either died off or still here. There are disgruntled fans on this site who still support this team.

If any company or organization has a CEO that DOESN'T lie.....they better replace him or her.

Its the nature of doing business. They should lie about objectives, layoffs, growth, closings, etc, etc.

In business it has to do with stocks, boards, shareholders and competitors.....for Jerry its mostly about networks, sponsors and season ticket holders

As a fan base we’ve been on this hamster wheel of lies it feels like for decades at this point.

The sad truth is that Jerry and his boy just aren't very good at building a football team. They are great at making money but that talent never translated to football.

Jerry doesn't lie. He's a walking poster child for the Dunning-Kruger effect.

I think Jerry is an incompetent GM of the worst kind since being the owner he hasn't fired himself in that GM role for decades. Over the years he has spontaneously changed his mind thoughtlessly to the detriment of the team and fans.

Hyping your sports team product is a little different than a restaurant.

Sure, the food has to stay good and at a good hair to stay in business. In sports it’s more about entertainment value than quality.

I look at it this way, most of the fans are into self-humiliation with a side disorder of low self-esteem. It's easier to slam your hand in a car door. At least you assured of the outcome.
