And yet teams with what seem like they have less talent have more playmakers? Is it the coaching?

Yeah I'm still waiting for Morris Claiborne to turn into Deion Sanders like Jerry promised. Maybe after this latest hamstring injury?

The defense isn't the problem. Wade was an awful head coach, but he's coaching an amazing defense in denver. Marinelli was awful as the lions head coach, but he's doing a solid job with this defense. People keep screaming for takeovers, but what exactly are we going to do with those if we can barely get a first down?

Opposing offenses don't have to take any chances vs the Cowboys since they know Dallas can't score.

Without a doubt.

Only Jerry Jones could take a coach that headed up an 0-16 Lions team...and think he was the right guy to lead a team to a Super Bowl.

That same coach is a NFL champion though. I won't fault him for the Lions being terrible. Bellicheat was terrible with the Browns as well.

This is partly because we play a defense of bend, don't break. It's allowed us to hang in games, but always folds in the 4th quarter.

We don't blitz and rarely rush more than four. Our corners play off the ball and will give you the short pickup so we don't get burned deep. We also have a pair of safeties in Wilcox and Church that should be riding pine or a lawnmower.

This is why we're on track to have one of the least productive turnover seasons in league history.

I just think it's hard for a team to create turnovers that simply aren't there. These guys have made plays before getting here. These coaches have had success. But the realization is teams don't have to be too risky against this defense when the offense can only put up 7 points. If you're a OC why would you risk losing the game by being aggressive? When you're aggressive there's no chances of mistakes by the opposing team. This same defense last year generated more turnovers around the league then anyone else. What's changed? The offense being terrible is what's changed.

We played this same defense with inferior talent and generated more turnovers then most last season.

The whole 'bend but don't break' mantra that people keep running behind is an excuse to lean on for why we don't get turnovers. This same defense got them last season.

I wish the safeties would get more involved in the game. They always play 20 yards off the ball and back pedal another 15 and are always out of every play.

There is a general lack of accountability with this team and it comes down from ownership. Pretend General Managers and puppet coaches are not the leadership foundation that wins football games. A Corey White or a Christine Michael might get run for not wearing a suit, but Greg Hardy and Dez Bryant don't answer to the head coach. That's the problem here.
