And yet teams with what seem like they have less talent have more playmakers? Is it the coaching?
We have guys that make plays. We're dealing with all manner of things.
1) We have players like Hayden playing 40+ snaps which allows lines to slide their protection away from him. It does help us get those wide open lanes on stunts but it makes it harder for people to win straight up matchups.
2) The scheme is man and only has two positions on most calls looking towards the QB. Lee plays one and due to injuries, our horrible S play the other. They are both poor in coverage but for different reasons. Teams simply key off Lee.
3) Teams are gameplanning to attack our multitude of poor players. Both S, various LB and DT are all easy to recognize and target. Teams have not had to change their game plan since Julio Jones rravaged the middle of the field in week 2. Middle runs and middle of the field. bleh!
As for making plays, DLaw has 3 sacks in the last 2 games. Lee is all over the place. The rookie has been making plays all year. Hardy has been a bit up and down but he's never been bad despite constant doubles. We also get good production out of the backup line.
