He will probably get one this offseason, unless things really go off the rails. Teams will usually avoid setting head coaches up for lame-duck years if they have any confidence in them.

Without Brady , Josh has been a total flop. I think it’s safe to assume after Brady brought a Super Bowl trophy to Tampa that he was the force behind NE’s offense not whoever was holding the clipboard. In fact, just about all of Belechiks assistants have flopped outside of NE. The magic in NE was Belechiks defense combined with Brady. The OC never really mattered.

You do know that McDaniels was fired that year and John Fox finished out the season as the Denver head coach right? Ironically if McDaniels had not been loyal to Kyle Orton and started Tebow from the jump they probably don't start out 1-4 and they probably win the division going away and sail into the playoffs. McDaniels might still be the head coach out there!

I could call plays for Tom Brady. I've got nothing against him, but not convinced he's a great coach. Same reason I struggle with any coordinator who has a loaded roster or elite QB.
