Why haven't we signed our own already?

if Carolina can sign Mario Addison before free agency starts, why haven't we done that already with at least a couple of our free agents? I realize that most will balk and want to "test the market," but you'd think we'd be able to get something done with a guy like Carr or Butler.

We. Have. No. Cap. Room.

It. Has. To. Be. Created.

Because we won't offer a good contract. Both Dallas and the players probably want to test the FA waters. The only way you resign a significant starter before the FA period is by paying quality market value. I'm sure we want to know what the market is for these guys.

Carr may very well get a very nice contract on the market, possibly more than we want to pay.

We're waiting for them to test the market... Essientially we like most of our own free agents but not enough to consider overpaying. Most of our top free agents are solid players and decent starters but not superstars. If I had prioritize our free agents here's my order. I didn't include Leary, because to me its a foregone conclusion he will sign elsewhere.

1. Church
2. Carr
3. McClain
4. Claiborne
5. Williams
6. Wilcox
7. Mcfadden
8. Moore
9. Butler

Please stop graffiting every thread with this nonsense

We are in a position to do what, exactly, this moment?

Answer the question. Honestly and relative to right now.

No, Dallas has barely enough cap space right now to sign the rookie class and have leftovers for the season.

Can they make more? Sure. Of course they can.

But the fact they are where they are is why the can't do a single solitary thing.

Whatever they do going forward is predicated specifically on them making the cap space appear.

I bet you loved magic shows as a kid.

do you really believe this, or do you just feel compelled to be as negative as possible in each thread?
I believe in speaking the truth.

And, right now. At this moment, they can't sign anyone or do anything.

I am not going to pretend that they actually have enough cap room to compete "if they wanted to".

We have not signed our own players simply because we can't. There is still plenty of work to be done to cook the books.

This is SOP. They spent the 1st week of FA last year signing there own before turning their attention to the scrap heap. Look for more of the same this year.

I think the better question is, why haven't we signed any free agents yet, period!?

Mark Ingram, JPP, and Chandler Jones are off the market, what in the hell is Jerry doing!?

May be we are not that worry about anyone wanting them?
TWill being an exception

Any time you have a 13-3 record, bad teams are going to think the talent is better.

There are very few of our own I want back. But the sad part is we don't have a lot of draft capital.
