Why haven't we signed our own already?

Any time you have a 13-3 record, bad teams are going to think the talent is better.

There are very few of our own I want back. But the sad part is we don't have a lot of draft capital.

I dont think I can agree with that.
The rest of the league must know our D is a joke.

Never underestimate the idiocy that exists in all NFL front offices.

I know we rail on ours, there are a lot worse. And they have a lot of money to spend.

if Carolina can sign Mario Addison before free agency starts, why haven't we done that already with at least a couple of our free agents? I realize that most will balk and want to "test the market," but you'd think we'd be able to get something done with a guy like Carr or Butler.

What is the rush? Also re-signing players would mean they are bidding against themselves. All the current free agents are not top-tier players you really worry about getting away. Let them test market.

So glad we have the FO to address this and not our fan base. It will all get resolved. I never concern myself with such things because I have full faith in the FO to do what is best for the team. Of course the busy bodies will talk this issue into the ground. Have at it.

Most of the guys who got signed were going to be franchised. Dallas isn't franchising anyone, so...........

We are in a position to do what, exactly, this moment?

Answer the question. Honestly and relative to right now.

No, Dallas has barely enough cap space right now to sign the rookie class and have leftovers for the season.

Can they make more? Sure. Of course they can.

But the fact they are where they are is why the can't do a single solitary thing.

Whatever they do going forward is predicated specifically on them making the cap space appear.

I bet you loved magic shows as a kid.

keep knocking down those windmills

you know that they will make the space ....which is 35m without Romo or Free moves

stop acting so supercilious............ the space is there whether they activate it or not..... it is real

I think the better question is, why haven't we signed any free agents yet, period!?

Mark Ingram, JPP, and Chandler Jones are off the market, what in the hell is Jerry doing!?
You cant sign other teams' free agents yet.
They can begin negotiations March 7 and can start signing March 9

Edit: I'm going to assume everyone is joking in here.

We haven't signed anyone yet because we don't have anyone who is going to set the market for their position in anyway. Those deals happen first when free agency begins. And then we'll let the market come to us.

We're focused on the combine.

Because this isn't the 90's and slowly but surely Jerry has learned. Painfully slowly.

Think most want to see their market value before committing to any team.

Church admitted he wanted a deal that paid him well, among other things. I doubt we are handing any of our UFAs a blank check.

I wouldn't shock me if the Front Office also has several restructures completed, but are just waiting for the last second before signing said player before it becomes official.

In all seriousness, none of the guys we have as free agents should really be candidates for resigning before testing the market. In essence, you are typically over paying, giving them what they think is their market value, when a lot of times, it's less than what the player thinks.
