Why I will always dislike Jim Brown...

I have never liked Jim Brown's personality, but he was the greatest running back I ever saw perform, I believe, including those you mentioned.

Just the truth as I see it.

:)

That's fine, it's all opinion.:)

After watching the Americas Game for the 1971 season I actually like Thomas more (Obviously I never saw him actually play in anything other than highlights) because he made me laugh during that deal. He was pretty funny, at least to me anyway.

In fact, at the time, because of Jim Brown and his stepping in and handling of Thomas, we won SB VI because of him. Without Jim Brown being able to talk to Thomas over the course of the year, Duane would have been useless to us that year. His head was really screwed up.:starspinReDBall ExPreSS:starspin
Thanks for shedding so much light on the situation. I was a kid back then and just wasn't into the Cowboys yet, but I have read a lot of negative stuff about Thomas (and about Jim Brown as well, albeit unrelated). It's nice to have some insight into what was really going on in that era. Jim Brown helping the Cowboys win their first Super Bowl? Who would've thought?

Jim Brown is the greatest player ever to lace em up on a football field... and Lacrosse too!!

In my opinion, Jim Brown is not the god of football. He was the best in his era. But not of all time.

I believe you could argue that Jerry Rice was the best of the best.
