He really sent us into a spiral of death that we have not been able to bring back to normalcy. We would have been much better off had he just come right out and said he couldn't do it. Shame on him.

I'm not mad at Weeden only because I believe he did give it his honest best effort to win games. He simply isn't talented enough to do so. He'll probably end up playing Arena ball next year.

Brandon Weeden? Isn't this really Jerry's fault once he got ride of Jimmy?

Easy, Weeden should have been signed to begin with. I dont blame him for making easy money. I blame the moron who looked at his history and said " I gotta have him"

Both these guys are terrible. I hope we consider bringing in RGIII because I refuse to believe he couldn't be better than these quarterback atrocities that we have on the roster. It's mind boggling how we brought Weeden back after how horrific he was last year. Typically quarterbacks drafted in round 1 are given more than two years and the fact Cleveland didn't speaks volumes. Jerry should be embarrassed for believing in that bum and we gave up a pick for the other bum. These guys are an absolute disgrace. They shouldn't even be allowed to walk in the facility. They're so damn PATHETIC I don't even wanna go to another game and be in the same building as them.

I don't blame Weeden at all. I blame the coaching staff and front office for thinking he was good enough to roll out there for a win.

He's always sucked though. It was the responsibility of mgmt to realize his suckage and replace him with someone who is less sucky.

I know you're all fired up on "the day after" & stuff. I also agree with your point that we should never have brought Weeden back. However, I know you're all over Cassell and I have to say most teams that put up 27 points expect to win.

We haven't needed superstar performances from our backup QB. Just the type of play that drives the bus at around 45mph and allows the strength of our team to help carry us through. You know. The defense that many touted as world beaters before the season started.. The same defense that some of us felt should be more of a "wait & see" project. That strength has taken our hearts on enough occasions to fill one hand thus far. It's just too bad they aren't living up to their paper billing.

He's not getting a free pass. He was criticized mercilessly. But he's just no longer in the picture. You know the whole "out of sight out of mind" thang.

I'm not going to put that much blame on Weeden because we put him in a position to fail.

We were as predictable as you could possibly be with him as our QB.

I don't remember anyone calling this defense world beaters. I didn't. I thought they had the potential to be very good with the talent, but a lot of things had to come together and of course they had to be relatively healthy. Neither of those things happened along with a very conservative defense and yet and still for the most part they've help up. Last night they stunk. No doubt about it, but you can't gift a team yet another TD and get one called back because of penalty, and drop another one and expect to win. This defense is not good enough to overcome that. Not many are.

I know your being facetious, but I do wonder what the season would look like had Weeden not thrown that stupid INT against Atlanta when we were killing them on the ground and up 21-7 with the ball. Everything seems to have spiraled out of control since then.

I would take Cassel over weedhead any day. Cassel has had 3 weeks to learn the offense and timing, and a week with a healthy Dez, and actually turned in a performance back-up worthy. Why Weeden is still on the roster is beyond me, we could be trying out others.
