Why is Brandon Weeden getting a free pass?

He's not getting a free pass. He was criticized mercilessly. But he's just no longer in the picture. You know the whole "out of sight out of mind" thang.

He was the most reviled man in Dallas a few weeks ago and remains an object of derision and ridicule in any discussion about QB play. I guess we need to lambaste him even more aggressively and mercilessly so he doesn't get a "free pass"?

It has actually been the same theme with Weeden and Cassel.

Either the offense struggles and comes up short at the end of the game or it puts up points like it did vs Atlanta and Philly and the defense collapses.

I'm pretty sure Brandon will get another free pass--

Out the front door of Valley Ranch in January.

If Brandon Weeden got a free pass, it would be incomplete or a check-down (insert rim shot sound here)

Lin Elliott, FTW.

Kickers don't count. Kickers are like the trailer hitch on my truck, it doesn't really look cool, and it just hangs around on the back of the truck until I need it once in awhile. Once I am done using it, I kind of forget about it until the next time I need it. When I talk about my truck, the hitch never really makes it into the conversation.

Best analogy to ever use for a kicker.

I would take Cassel over weedhead any day. Cassel has had 3 weeks to learn the offense and timing, and a week with a healthy Dez, and actually turned in a performance back-up worthy. Why Weeden is still on the roster is beyond me, we could be trying out others.

Funny how that works huh.. Weeden has been on our team for an NFL lifetime and Cassell with barely a few weeks knowledge of the same offense is dropping 299, 3yds, 1int. Weeden should have been cut on his birthday... lol

He really sent us into a spiral of death that we have not been able to bring back to normalcy. We would have been much better off had he just come right out and said he couldn't do it. Shame on him.

Weeden would've won the last two games with Dez Bryant. Give Weeden a Dez Bryant and a running game and he makes mincemeat of the Eagles. Remember, Weeden did not have Dez Bryant to throw to. Cassel can't even win with Dez Bryant, a running game, and an 80-yard kickoff return.

Weeden couldn't win last year with Dez and the best back in the league.

Doubt that would've changed it.

Face it both of these guys are talentless clowns.

Cassel has thrown two pick sixes in three games. He also had the opportunity to throw to Dez Bryant in two of the games. Can you imagine Matt Cassel without Dez Bryant and no running game? The game would be over before halftime!

Cassell isn't much better but at least he is willing to throw more than 5 yards down field

Weeden couldn't beat an exceptional Cardinals team last season. But the last three games I say Weeden gives the Cowboys a better chance of winning than Cassel does. Cassel had an 80-yd kickoff return and got lucky on the Hail Mary due to Dez Bryant, and he still could NOT beat the Eagles!

Weeden is getting a pass? Do you have everyone except yourself on ignore? Because Weeden has been hammered unmercifully.
