My past issues with Murray was, I thought he left a lot of yards on the field. He ran out of bounds quite often, so it seemed. I think he cost us some key first downs at times. But I won't say he cost any games outright. Now was he tenative from previous injuries, maybe.
But in the Eagles game last year, he ran hard, he stayed in bounds and hit defenders. That was what I wanted to see. So that changed my opinion then. I liked what I seen.
I liked Murray, but was ok if they found someone better, but if not, he was better than most others at the time. I liked it when they signed Williams, as I figured he would be the fall back plan in case another injury. But Randle looked good in TC, and with his blocking and ST's play, I understand why he was kept over Williams.
As for Dunbar, I have not been impressed with him yet, but also am willing to wait and see. I do want to see Williams, but understand why he isn't active.
I am very impressed with Murray's running this year. And I am very glad he is here. The kind of RB we been waiting for. But he needs to hold onto the ball obviously. This is a nice situation to be in.
Murray, leading the NFL in rushing, a good backup in Randle from the looks of it so far, another RB that can have a Sproles type effect once this offense gets going even more. And a RB on the PS can we know can run the ball, just needs some ST's & blocking experience.
not a bad situation IMO.
