Why Kevin Ogletree?

So what's the deal? Someone please explain to me the groupie love for Kevin Ogletree? I just see this being just like the Danny Amendola nonsense of last year.

Anyway, I'm not from Missouri, but SHOW ME! What's everyone getting their Dallas Cowboys briefs all in a bunch about over this guy?

decent production for 2 years at UVA.

left early because the advisory board pegged him as a 3rd-4th round pick.

reason enough to be optimistic that he could become a viable nfl wideout down the road in my opinion.

How does that QB from Boyd look? Alvarez or something like that. We played and beat them in the playoffs two years ago but he tore our defense to shreds.

He was small so is he even still a QB?

Daryn Alves. He is a super short left handed QB. I think he still has one year of high school remaining.

This is not Danny Amendola.

Kevin Ogletree doesn't play anywhere close to 4.3, he's listed as 6 feet tall and I haven't read about him practicing special teams.

I don't really care about forty times or height, if a receiver can play, he can play.

But not having a special teams role would seem to hurt Ogletree's chances to make the roster.

Decent size. Fast. Gets open consistently. Catches everything. He looked very good in training camp, but a little "cautious" if that makes sense.

If Stanback doesn't come back and shine, it's going to be a very obvious choice who the 5th WR is.

He's 6' 1/2", by the way. He weighed 196 lb. at the Combine.

He may have been listed at 6'2" @ Virginia, colleges often inflate player measurables.

The Cowboys' official site has him at 6'0", 196.

Yes, Manuel Johnson is almost non-existant in camp. If anything he goes to the practice squad.

Guess we'll see starting in a week.

I doubt he is anything like Amendola though, who was small, slow and played in a playstation offense. Ogletree has decent size and good speed, and played for an NFL coach at UVA.

Might be nothing, but he seems to be generating alot of positive talk.

So far it's Kevin Ogletree > Manuel Johnson in camp.

Should Stanback get hurt where he wold miss regular season games, Ogletree makes the final 53 not Johnson.
