so what prompted Conner Williams to be a sure fire candidate to play center at the NFL level.. a position he has never played in college or NFL ?

CW only had 1 legitimately bad snap in the AZ game (the one that hit the ground).

The snap that went up into the air initially hit the QB in the hands about waist high.
- It had too much velocity but the QB should be able to handle it.

Some of this other snaps might not have been perfect but they didn't impact the QB.

He botched 3 snaps and got blow up several times. Williams experiment needs to end. He sucks st center.

Stepnoski & Gurode both had similar issues with shotgun. They just went under center with Stepnoski & lived with Gurode's. No reason to not use Williams as a backup solution especially since he's new to the position.

No, CW will be just fine.

That reverse grip snapping is for the birds! That crap will cause more fumbles than you can imagine. Trust me, you will wish CW was snapping the ball instead of McGovern. There is a very good reason why McCarthy and staff have CW practicing as backup Center, instead of McGovern.

He doesn't play center because he's not good at it, his snap or grip on the ball has nothing to do with it.

I think that was the simplest way to put it. Why bother trying him at center if he’s not capable?
