Why no love for Kitna?

He’s done that before though. Especially with Cooper.
Not as perfectly as that ball was thrown. Cooper didn't need to adjust a bit. All he had to do was make a basket on his chest. If that was the only perfectly thrown ball of the day, I'd say it was probably a little lucky, but the bullet to Gallup, for his 62(?) yard play, was in the best possible place, and there was at least one more, the details of which I don't remember.

yes, it's true that Kitna has played a huge part in seemingly improved mechanics in Dak body of work - there are still a few ties where we see balls thrown behind receivers but so far not near as discouragingly as in the past, more so Dak is challenging the middle and deep seams and not showing the over cautious safeguard as in the past.

Kitna himself has been groomed and worked under the brilliance of Mike Martz and much of what he learned as quick set up release, progression, huddle pace, getting ball to best weapons and distributing to several targets, and a much more over the top, push-the ball-downfield mentality as well as aforementioned throwing mechanic working you just mentioned has a lot to do with what Kitna learned thru Martz and what kitna is putting into what he learned and applying it to working with Dak and getting quick learning and results from it,

Here's a nugget from Lion's former WR Calvin Johnson on Kitna.........

Here is a story. In Johnson’s second year, quarterback Jon Kitna said—well, take it away, Calvin: “He left the meeting room one day, and he told the coaches and the whole team that we’re not gonna win a game if we go into the season with [this] system. Somebody should have listened. Because we were 0–16 after that.

Bottom line, he could very be the Cowboys next OC after Moore.......

Just because he saw how bad the system was, like countless others in the story did? I think you might be reading a little too much into that one sentence.

The thing I take from that article is how bad Detroit were as an organisation, Barry and Megatron both walked away in Their primes, other than Jim Brown, I can't think of another generational type talent Who did that (and JB was as much the fault of the British weather as anything else).
Thank goodness My tenure as a Lions Fan only lasted 2 mins.

They were fine players, but I wouldn't put Them on a level with Baz, Meg and JB, Those 3 could make a case for greatest ever RB or WR (not saying They were or weren't and This isn't the place for a debate about it).

Willis is in that debate. Borland might have been, didn't play long enough

Everyone is posting about when Kellen should get a raise and when Jerry needs to choose between him and Garrett.

news flash: if Dak were as inconsistent as he’d been the first 3 years, things would probably be better than they were but would be nowhere near where they are now.

Kitna fixing Daks mechanics and getting him to process faster is what’s making the huge difference. Kellen is certainly calling great games, but Kitna is getting Dak to be able to execute it. The deep ball is on point most times now and not ending up 30 yards into the stands like we saw with how many sideline passes last year.

also it’s easier to call long pass routes when the OL is giving you time which can be directly attributed to Fredericks return. 6 sacks through 2 games last year. Only 6 total pressure through 2 games this year.
Because it’s all about “The Process”. Believe in it.

You think Willis can make a serious GOAT case with the likes of Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary, Ray Lewis and Jack Lambert on the list?

Kitna doesn't have a very good track record. He was terrible as a player and it's hard to see how his insights are helping anyone.
