Why no talk of Dak Prescott in the 2nd or 3rd?

He's put up good numbers, He pretty much put Miss St on the map the last 3 years, strong, mobile. I see upside if drafted by us.. He can sit and learn behind Romo and take over once Romo hangs them up.

Not in the 2nd. Maybe in the 3rd, depending who is there. But in the 4th I would be ok with it.
I'm not as high on him as I once was, for no particular reason. But would not complain if in the 4th.

I have no reasons against him, but just feel if they don't get a QB in the 1st 2 rounds. I think they have more pressing needs then for a player to play right away as a 3rd round pick. Might as well wait until the 4th round comp pick and see who is there.

If my dreams come true, Dak will be our QB in waiting in about 13 days. I'm all for least risk options and
Dak will not kill this team if he eventually busts.

Agree if in the 4th, and can be a decent back up in the meantime until we get that future franchise guy.
He doesn't need to be great, but can win a few games if needed.

excellent size 6'2 230, he's accurate. He would be a nice QB to groom for the future

He reminds me of Tim Tebow. The Cowboys seem to like him and he would put less pressure on Romo because he will not be a 1st round pick.

I've heard that many scouts and GM's view him as a reincarnation of Tebow with the ability to throw an NFL pass. If so, he may be a long term backup
who can win games when we do get that next franchise QB. Let's go win a SB now!!!

We're all too busy talking about the running back we'll draft in the 2nd or 3rd round after we get our quarterback in the first round!

He just started to do a pro style progression drop. He really is a wild card. I don't expect he'll amount to much as few QBs ever do but he has a chance.

I like this guy and Jake Driskell LA Tech on day 3. I'd take both if we cannot get someone day 1. Draft another one next year.

I want no part of Hackenberg or Cook.

Most QB's will be selected up to one round early due to the need and lack of quality supply.

I don't know. Once you get past the franchise prospects things settle down. there are always runs on positions but I don't know that teams will pick to run on these QBs.

I'd be ok with him. In the fourth, where he belongs. But we'd still need a veteran backup.

Veteran backups are bad news. I would take a combination of Moore and a draft pick over any veteran willing to accept a long term backup spot that has hit the market in the last two years.
