Picksix;3628488 said:The problem with throwing deep to your receivers, is that takes time, that the OL is not consistently giving Romo. You look at film from the Minn game last year, and the Titans game last week, and it's hard to have confidence in that line.
Let's say they commit to throwing it deep to Austin twice a quarter. Yeah, it worked the time they tried it, but for the most part the line was getting a lot of pressure on Romo. You keep going with 7 step drops to go deep, eventually that line gets there and Romo is toast.
Face it. Until we get a better OL, we're just not going deep that much.
By the way, how many times did Favre go deep today?

I mean Austin should have been targeted at least twice going deep in each quater

Chocolate Lab;3628850 said:No kidding. And those seemed like called plays, not just outlet passes.
And by my count it happened about 85 times.
No idea why. Maybe Garrett was terrified of their pass rush based off last year.![]()
