Older dudes just break easier which is why at some point in the not too distant future, he's going to have to stop acting like he's from Krypton every Sunday. He'll make a great coach... someday.

I broke my clavicle the same exact way Romo did while playing football. Hitting the ground didn't do it, the person who fell on top of me cracked the bone.

I have to say though, that first week or so was some of the worst pain I've ever been in. Trying to get up out of bed in the morning almost brought me to tears along with just trying to sleep.

Not sure what happened to that thread title. I read it in a Tonto voice.

He puts his arm out to help break the impact..all that weigh and force pushes on his shoulder..

When you land flush on your shoulder the collarbone takes the brunt of the impact. Combine that with a large human being landing on top of you and it's not that surprising to see a break.

There's really nothing you can do in terms of prevention other than protect your QB better to minimize these situations.

That's true as well. He doesn't want to face the facts. The front office doesn't want to face the facts. We don't want to face the facts.

But there it is. Sooner or later....Age gets us all.

It'll be interesting if anyone can post an example of a similarly executed sack of another current top quarterback.

Good luck.

Someone commented physics earlier in the thread. That was 100% correct. Newton's third law demonstrates where the kinetic force of each tackle impacted most. Fairly understandable when a tackler intentionally brings the pain high and focused.

Part of Romo's game has been that he extends plays, so he takes more hits too. At this point in his career I'd like him to generally get rid of the ball faster,,,

It keeps breaking because Romo is a chubby wearing hat backwards golf player who takes vacations
