He put up 17 points agains a second string seconday. Very similar to what he did against a deplted Seattle secondary last year.

Till he wins a big game (playoffs), this question is going to stick to him.
Last time I checked this was a team. All three sides of the ball lost the game.

. Romo would do no better than Aikman had he played on that 1989 team.

I don't know whether the team record would be better but there were very few quarterbacks I saw as pathetic and clueless as Aikman in his first year. His improvement over the next couple years was nothing short of profound.

David.

Another thing people have to remember is, you can't have 1 thing in place and expect to win the SB.

If we EVER want to go to the SB with Romo and this offense, we need to turn our defense into a POWERHOUSE unit.

Dallas doesn't need to be a powerhouse defense to win a Super Bowl. Indy's offense wasn't that much better and was horrific on defense and won a Super Bowl.

Dallas' problems on defense is that they gave up a few too many points and often struggled to make those crucial stops. But the defense greatly improved from last year and it was Phillips' first year with the team. I think a big issue we had was the defense for years was coached by Zimmer. In one year with Phillips we had guys with their best year's of their career. And I don't think it's a coincidence that Dallas has had to draft defensive players in the first round for so many years.

I'll let Fasano and Crayton address that issue. They only dropped 21 points. TO and Glenn were obviously not 100% due to their injuries. Not to mention Romo spent the 2nd half dodging pass rushers.

I guess I am the only one that is not bent out of shape over this lose. Probably because I never thought we make it to a superbowl even after we got to 13-3. To many things I figured come playoff time would be magnified and we would lose.

1st penalties which has been a constant since Campo

2nd Defense I never trusted this defense to make the plays in the crunch

3rd WR No real deep speed and depending on older wr had me worried

4th Was the oline and Running game behind it was inconsistent all year

So I liked 13-3 and I was hoping we win at least 1 game that did not come to pass.

So now it is time to start looking at FA who is staying and going on this team; Salary Cap; restructure contracts if we need to and the draft

Here is to a good FA with out getting stupid and a great draft

Whats interesting is that not only did Peyton Manning choke early in his career...he choked on Saturday. Wonder if Colt fans are putting him on the trading block today.

who is criticising him for his play?? please post some examples from the sports media as besides the INT at the end he only made a few mistakes....the issues were the WR drops, the OL penalties and lack of pass blocking in the 2nd half...and Barber being basically shut down in the 2nd half too.

Yeah those 90+ yard drives where the clock was used to perfection and the team converted 3rd down after 3rd down was completely uncomfortable.

Think before you throw crap against the wall.

Peyton Manning didn't make it to the playoffs until his second season as a starter and didnt win a playoff game until his 6th season as a starter.
That should end the discussion right there.

Wasn't it 3 seasons before Manning won his 1st playoff game? Thank god because if Romo goes 0-3 in the playoffs and tanks we can quit hearing everybody compare him to peyton. I wonder what other qb they will choose to use as an excuse if that happens.

You can always count on it. Dude does not know football.

I know football, Lets revisit Henson/Romo debate?

Fact is Romo is catching flack for not winning the big games. That is how QB's are caste.

Deny that for all you want. At some point Romo needs to win a big game to get the monkey off his back nationally perception wise.

That's the problem. There's football. Then there's national perception.

perception = reality

Romo is now 0-2 against two badly decimated secondaries

At some point Romo needs to win a big game and this all goes away or he's Danny White:)

All that count are rings and I'm a huge Romo fan, he needs to deliver the goods. Thats what the great QB's do.

What is the perception? That he hasn't won a big game? Well, duh. Does that need to even be reported? Or is the perception that he can't? Well, sorry, I'm not seeing how that's the reality. He hasn't, but that doesn't mean he can't or won't.

The media and fans are always looking for storylines that they can simplify things. Romo hasn't been the reason why Dallas lost these past two games, but it's easier and simpler to give the storyling of "he can't win the big one." They do that all of the time.

It's ridiculous that he's getting blamed though. A lot of people sort of neglect the two drops by Fasano and Crayton. He actually made two great plays (the Crayton drop was spectacular) and if he gets those two catches then Dallas probably wins and he goes away having played well. But because there were two drops that were no way his fault, it's a different story.

perception is only reality if you look at things superficially.
