Why should Garrett not get fired?

A lot of us want Garrett gone, a few of you don't. Those of you that still support Garrett, why? Serious question, what do you see that we don't?

Jerry thinks he’ll justify his status as a “football guy” if his hand-picked - and groomed - head coach succeeds.

The only reason not to fire him is that the team right now is in first place... they have under-achieved to be sure— but it’s a strange decision to make a change at HC when you are leading the division

That said— If it’s true the Garrett camp wants the NY job and leaked that info this week, then that is enough in my mind to can him. Promote Richard as interim HC and see what he can bring to the table.

There is a small chance this team could go on a run. Firing Garrett now is giving up on the season so I don't see the point.

After the season, Garrett needs to go. JJ is totally on board with that. You don't even have to be a mind reader. Its completely telegraphed. IMO, the only thing that saves Garrett is a NFC championship game and maybe the bar is higher than that.

Because there’s nothing to gain from it. Midseason coaching changes are rare and only viable if the team has quit. The Cowboys are still competitive. If you wait until season’s end, there will be no firing. He just won’t be renewed.

There's no way that Jerry fires Garrett when we play in 4 days. If we lose that game due to coaching, maybe with 10 days until our next game. Otherwise, you will need to wait until the first day of the offseason.

This is the biggest criteria for Jerry- not who helps us win but who makes him most comfortable. How many stupid losses does it take to make Jerry “uncomfortable”?

I think at this point everyone wants him gone. Even his own family want him gone probably for his own sake. He probably deserves better as does our fans. We really need a new owner and GM.....make McClay the GM.
