We did nothing today to fix our secondary.

It's still broken.

It would be nice to think a 7th round corner can help, but its doubtful he even makes the team.

When you improve a pass rush and get to the QB quicker your DBs will look better. Look at the stats from last year.

This reminds me of the kind of drafts we used to have in the years between Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells. I hope I'm wrong and even half of these guys turn out to be contributors or even starters, but I just don't feel that good about it.

The only thing I don't like about it is the kicker. But he may start this year. So you get 2 starters in a draft with Spencer and Folk that's pretty good.

We are trying to build depth on the OL and we have 2 guys with strong pedegries there. There were more question marks with guys like Jacobs and Peterman when Parcels drafted them. Yes there isn't the star power in this draft. But there wasn't a star for Dallas to draft. Dallas didn't need one.

sure we did - we drafted spencer, that will help the rush, which in turn will help the secondary.

we brought in wade to make the 3-4 parcells started more aggressive - we'll see how that turns out but good or bad, it's *something*.

we got hamlin to allow roy to move up and provide a better pass rush, WHICH IN TURN will help the secondary.

and we drafted (2) cb's late in the game - sure. but 1 is one many respected posters on this board like and have some legitimate (ie, not blind fan faith) hope for.

the "secondary" itself was never broken per se. just because NFL Network put that down as a concern doesn't make it so. i mean, look at your sig line that also said we addressed QB which they listed as a *need*.

it wasn't a need and we didn't address it - so they're stupid.

nowhere near as bad off as those who reference such stupidity as a source, however...

To me that quarterback was off the wall. Like I said I hope I'm wrong and he turns out to be better than Crayton. At least it was on day two. I remember when they used to pick guys on day one that would play a few years, never really do much, and just kind of fade away.

Jerry didn't reach. And we do not have a Shante Carver, Kivika Pittman pick so I am happy. This draft just didn't seem to have much talent past the 1st day or that could have been just me.
