What does the tape show?
That he sticks to his man like glue and is faster than anyone else on the field.
Word is he lacks instincts. So, we have an athletic freak who lacks instincts. Think AOA, Jason Williams. Both athletic freaks who lacked football instincts.
Now, I'm not sure he is as inept as those two based on what I've seen, (which admittedly is very little) but I've said many times that the Byron Jones pick is the one that I'm most concerned with.
What does the tape show?
I He literally looks like he's going against high school kids at times on the tape.
Do you have an example of this?
Let me go check reddit and I'll get back to you.
So, no, you don't?
I'm not sure that this thread is a good opportunity for you to complain about people not backing up their statements. Unless you think "guy on reddit" and mock drafts are acceptable evidence. Which apparently you do.
I'm on phone, but check out the highlight videos already posted by Fuzzy and you can get an idea. Not that it would matter to you. You've already made your bed. You've committed to the Travis Frederick view and that's OK. Just bring a book because it gets lonely on that island.

"He's very highly thought of," Diaco said. "Nothing against the road scouts, but there are [NFL] executives who think very highly of him. This will actually help from a time-frame standpoint."

"Byron Jones, Connecticut: Jones had his season cut short with a shoulder injury, however it is tough to ignore what he accomplished in 7 games. He was a ray of light on what was a horrendous Uconn team all year long. Jones has shown the ability to play both CB and Safety, and in his toughest challenge this year stepped up and played a great game vs Shane Carden and ECU."

Just as Byron Jones of UConn was ready to make an appearance on our Risers list come word the senior tore his labrum and will be out for the remainder of the season. Considering the way UConn has played of late the timing its probably best it happened now. I’m told Jones had been struggling with a shoulder injury and was in fact wearing a harness when the labrum tore. I like Jones in the middle rounds and would not entirely exclude him from the third frame considering the way the cornerback class is shaping up.
From your first link:
"Jones could have a shot at playing in the NFL. " Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
Did you even read the last paragraph you posted?
"I like Jones in the middle rounds and would not entirely exclude him from the third frame considering the way the cornerback class is shaping up."
Jones wonderlic 33 > Claiborne wonderlic 6
Jones athleticism > Claiborne
Chances are pretty good he will be better than Claiborne even if he has a slight learning curve.
You started off your post with a blurb about how Byron Jones was a 7th round prospect. Most things I've come across, including Byron Jones himself, saw him being picked in the middle rounds.
I'm not gonna pretend like Jones' combine didn't help his draft stock, but to act like he's some 7th round/UDFA type that had a good workout isn't accurate.
