Why we lost

When Dak literally ran over 2 D-linemen and a LB, with no blocking in front of him, to get that yard into the endzone for a TD, but Zeke 4-5 times couldn't even run over a Ram opponent on 1 yards needed for 1st downs, that tells me Zeke actually didn't play well or show up at all.

Zeke continuously made something out of nothing. The blocking was terrible. Not making excuses, but he played hard and kept us in the game.

Go back and rewatch. We ran right into a stacked front on those. Bad play call.

Amazing, no Zeke there. He couldn't get out of his own way. Oline stunk it up. Jarwin hurt, Beasley hurt, Swain out. Gallup and Cooper the only healthy pass catchers on the team. Oh yah, Austin, which they never use.

Dak was the LEAST of the problems yesterday. He played plenty well enough to win the game.

Had one bad throw and that was the one to Gallop he threw behind him.

Zeke continually did nothing. But I don't blame just him. Line and play calling was horrid.

Zeke missed the hole on that 4th and 1 where he got stuffed. Hole was to the left, he missed it.

Yep. Some just refuse to recognize and give blame to certain players. Unreal. They are just exempt for some reason.

Calls Dak's performance mediocre, yet nothing on Zeke lol. If Dak was just mediocre then I can't even put into words what Zeke did. Zeke was definitely REPLACEABLE last night.b

I don't think anyone played great yesterday, but Dak had the best performance out of anyone on Dallas yesterday.

Ahhhh...I knew I would see excuses for the officiating somewhere, I was sure I would see 5 threads about it. The officiating sucks league wide, we’ve benefited more than we haven’t this year. Last night was fairly officiated for the most part. We just got our buttocks smooth whooped, officiating had nothing to do with it for once.

The play calling was horrible all game long. The Rams stacked the line of scrimmage with 8 or more in the box from the first play daring Dallas to beat them with the pass. Instead they kept trying to run the ball. Stupid.
 
We could have Antonio Brown, OBJ, Zeke Amari and Dak out there and our sorry practice squad te would still weaken our passing offense to a non playoff level.

The everydown te scheme has been dead in Dallas for 5+ years. We don't have the tes to make it work.

Swaim sucks

At some point ya gotta bench the tes and use more slot wrs and rbs. It's what every team in the NFL does not named the Dallas Cowboys.

The next man up mentality doesn't work. You either got a bonified receiver who put up the minimum benchmarks and scores or you don't.

We don't have that. We havent had that in quite some time. Our Te core is pathetic and we're rotating Our skilled position players around our everydown te and he isn't doing jack squat as far as producing on paper goes.

We're not going to win at the playoff level w the sorriest te in the league stinking up our receiving core. The road to nowhere goes through these practice squad loser tes.

Everyone in this forum should have plenty of green in their pockets because you should know by now that our tes can't carry an offense playing all the passing snaps after years of SUBPAR te receiving skills w no stats. Not once have they won a game for us outside of maybe a regular season division opponent w a losing record .No playoff success in 22 straight years
 
Sad thing is if we would have benched those tight ends in favor of some four wide receiver sets we actually would have had a great offense .Jason Witten even said that's what we needed to do and the coach and the owner did not comply. You don't start players based upon the next man up theory. You go out there and you win with players who can win and these tight ends are losers. We lost the game the minute these jacklegs took the field on passing downs

If you got a te who is statistically inept and that's all we got then you certainly don't play him every snap.

If you believe it's ok to play a substandard receiver on passing plays than you're just as ignorant as this coaching staff.
Were trying to replace the production of an old washed up te with three plays over 20 yards and four rinky dinky touchdowns. We need to be replacing reproduction of the 82 that was in his ptime. The washed up shell of 82 was not Playoff Caliber and we'd still be exactly where we're at. Nowhere

A lot of people are underestimating how bad the defense was, and how good the offense was in this game. That's if each team played to its own and the other's averages.

The Dallas offense averaged 2.06 points and 33.35 yards per drive during the regular season. The Rams defense allowed 2.13 points and 32.62 yards per drive. So based on the regular season, on their 8 possessions in this game, the Cowboys should have scored 17 points and gained 264 yards.

Surprisingly, Dallas scored 22 points and gained 308 yards.

The Cowboys defense allowed an average of 1.93 points and 31.71 yards per drive. The LA offense averaged 2.79 points and 38.99 yards per drive. So based on the regular season, on their 8 possessions in this game, the Rams should have scored 19 points and gained 283 yards.

Shockingly, the Rams scored 30 points and gained 459 yards.

He had several "bad" throws. There is a difference between a bad throw and a crap throw. The one to Gallup, which in my mind was a big key to killing a possible momentum swing, was a crap throw. The TD pass to Cooper on the first drive was a "bad" throw. It was a typical Dak throw. What I mean by that is late and behind the receiver. Most of his down field passes are BEHIND receivers. Cooper had to nearly stop to catch that pass. Watch the replay and pay attention. He beat his defender like a drum and that should have been a much better placed ball.
