Sorry,my first slobberings on a TV screen was during our first Superbowl loss - too young to remember. Colts must go down. BTW, Manning was the best SNL athlete host ever, liked him immediately after that, Given what he has had to work with this year, he might be the best QB ever. Go Saints!!!

Im rooting for a NFL lockout before the game, both teams are in my top 8 hated teams, let me break it down for those of you who care, and don't.

1. NYG
2. Eagles
3. Commanders
4. NYJ
5. Vikings
6. Saints
7. Colts
8. Steelers
9. Patriots.

Nothing is more painful than a SB loss (witnessed). 2nd worse feeling is a Conference Championship loss, 3rd is an all-time SB record Challenge.

1. Steelers
1A. Colts
2. 49 eers
3. Eagles
4. Skins
5. Giants
6. Pats

Doesn’t matter who anyone roots for. The Colts are going to blow out the Saints. Won’t be a game by halftime.

Me too. I admire excellence. And this whole "you gotta root for the Saints because of Katrina" garbage is really pathetic. I didn't witness a whole new wave of Yankee fans after 9/11.

:hammer: .............. again.

We should root for the Colts so as not to have to hear the decade-long ESPN slurpage that will ensue if Drew Brees and the Saints win the Super Bowl.

What? The Colts only have won 2 Super Bowls. NFL Championships don't count, otherwise the Eagles would have some stuff in their trophy case.

My dad absolutely hates both the Mannings and would like to see Eli and Peyton lose every game if it was possible. Its funny because every time they come up, he goes into some rage about it.

Personally, I can't root for the Saints.

Yup, but a bunch of us who were downtown on that day and lost friends and colleagues cried when the Yankees walked off the field - Mets and Yank fans alike. It wasn't really about the loss, it was more about the finality of the season and the suspension of final grievance until that point.

I don't really like players on other teams. But I would rather see Brees win than Peyton. I'll take the short guy that his first team gave up on, over the NFL's golden boy. ;)

Being a Cowboy fan who lives in Louisiana I would never pull for the Saints.

We should all root against the Colts on Super Bowl Sunday. here's why:

1. We don't want the Colts to become a Dynasty. They could win a few more more rings and challenge our dynasty. Its bad enough to we have to compete with the 60s packers, 70s steelers, 80s niners, 00s patriots, and now maybe the 10s Colts? Stop this in its tracks now.

2. For the same reasons as #1. We don't want Manning to retire with eventually as many or possibly more rings than Aikman. Even worse is seeing that little brother brat Eli up in the private luxury box celebrating.

3. Super Bowl V. Colts 16, Cowboys 13. 'Nuff said.

The SB about to be played will be the last SB in the decade of the 00's, so to worry that they will dominate teh 10's is a bit premature. Not saying the Cowboys will be the team of the upcoming decade, but we do have a young team that is very good right now and on the rise. IMO, the Cowboys have to be considered amongst the top contenders in the immediate coming years.

Sorry no can do. Im just sick of Saints being called Americas Team and it will only get a bazillion times worse if they win.

get er done Peyton!
Wow, hadn't thought of that angle. The more I read why I should be for one team or the other, the more torn I become. To hell with this! Our team needs to be the team getting to the SB so that I don't have to anguish over which team to root for! :D

My team isn't in it, so I don't care who wins. It's nobody from the EAST, not Pitt or N.E. It's a win/win in my book.
That's kinda the way I feel, too. However, there's part of me that wants NO to win just because they're underdogs.

My motto? Don't ever root for any NFL team except the Cowboys.

Works for me.

Peyton's the GOAT, and as much as I am annoyed that people use Super Bowl wins in the ultimate team game to judge individual players (specifically QBs), it's still a strong perception that Peyton hasnt overcome cause "He's only won 1."

There's no question in my mind that he's better than Elway or Brady, but the ring debate holds him back. Id like to see him qet another one to shut that up. If he wins, the only people who are gonna have an argument against Manning are Montana supporters.
