Why we should root against the Colts.

We should all root against the Colts on Super Bowl Sunday. here's why:

1. We don't want the Colts to become a Dynasty. They could win a few more more rings and challenge our dynasty. Its bad enough to we have to compete with the 60s packers, 70s steelers, 80s niners, 00s patriots, and now maybe the 10s Colts? Stop this in its tracks now.

2. For the same reasons as #1. We don't want Manning to retire with eventually as many or possibly more rings than Aikman. Even worse is seeing that little brother brat Eli up in the private luxury box celebrating.

3. Super Bowl V. Colts 16, Cowboys 13. 'Nuff said.

Can't agree with this one at all. I really like the Colts, and I like Manning. So much more class than his little brother, or Brees for that matter IMO.

He's definitely one of the greatest QBs of all time, it's a pleasure watching him play. I hope they win. I don't feel the Saints deserved to be in the SB.

I don't care who wins it but I would like for Manning to get his 2nd ring.

I am a huge fan of Peyton Manning. The guy is living proof that it takes hard work and dedication to be successful in this world. Plus he is good role model, hard to root against a guy like that in my opinion.

I have a close personal friend who is an Ex-Saints cheerleader, and she is HOT! I owe her a massage for this year (that was the bet) because the Saints got farther than the Cowboys... in past years, she's given me back rubs because the Saints didn't have as good a record as the 'Boys.

GO SAINTS! :laugh1:

I'll root against the Colts so the Trophy returns to the NFC. All those other reasons posted are meaningless.

Even though I, a lifetime Cowboy fan that relocated to SE La, was glad that NO beat Minny, I always looked up to Peyton Manning until two Sundays ago. This was when a 7 year old girl came up to me in church and said while her older brother was watching YouTube on their computer, she saw Peyton cussing out his team several times online. Yes, I know that she will eventually hear that and worse, but there's just something about a little girl having expectations and seeing him on TV commercials and then her image of him is lowered by him loosing his cool because of his teams non-play. If it changes young fans image of their idols, it's wrong. Go Brees and NO.

Are you implying that Brees and other QBs don't cuss out their teams? I've seen plenty of clips of Montana, Young, Aikman, and other greats cussing out their teams in the heat of the battle.

Unless you're a Cowboy an living in one of the team's markets, I can't understand hate for either team.

I like Manning and Brees. I also like Sean Peyton. I'll just enjoy the game. Probably root for however falls behind to make for an exciting game.

I live near New Orleans, and it is downright unbearable right now. The most annoying fan base in sports.

Oh no a NFL quarterback used cuss words on the sidelines during a football game. Get the rope!

At least their fans are loyal. I only knew one Cardinals fan before last year. Now everyone loves them and has always been a fan.

Yeah, right.

Peyton Manning is a class act and one of the all time greats who really respects the game of football.

To root against the guy because you don't want him to have more Super Bowl rings then Troy Aikman is a little silly.

Besides, Peyton Manning is better then Troy Aikman anyway.

No, I'm not saying that, moreso that they're not careful when they do it because sometimes little ears hear that and scars their image of the player. Also, because Peyton is on so many commercials not cussing, and this one little girl heard it online it basically changed her perception of him.

It's kinda like one aw@%#@ will wipe out 100 attaboys.

There is nothing not to like about the Colts. I think we are all lucky to see Manning play. He is easily one of the all-time great QBs. Honestly, I would take him over Brady for one simple fact. He can kill you while under duress. I've seen Brady fail in those situations.

I think Brady is the most accurate QB when not under pressure, but go back and watch that Jets game. The Jets defense was dominating everyone and he just schooled the hell out of them. Some of his passes were unreal. That one that he put that huge arch on that went like 3 inches over the defenders fingers. I mean, hitting a man in stride is one thing, but to hit him in stride while throwing a huge arching rainbow pass that misses a defenders fingers by inches. That, in my opinion was one of the top 10 (non-"just chuck it up") throws made of this entire season by any QB.

Still on the fence for this game as to who I will pull for but as far as who I think will win that has not changed I think the Colts win this game

I'm just hoping for a good close game

Are you serious with this??

It's football. It's an emotional and physical battle that pushes player's to the limit every week, and these guys get paid millions of dollars to do their job and if they cant do it right, they should be told off.

Peyton's got a job to do and as long as It gets done, it doesnt matter how family friendly he is about it. Blame NFL Films for putting mics on the players and coaches and always having a camera in their face during game time. When he's playing the game, Peyton doesnt have to censor himself for anybody.
