Why would San Fran let us take Singletary as DC

Speculation saying we may hire Singletary as D Coord. may be premature, even if we want to hire him, the 49ers can block the move. If he is such a hot commodity as people are saying why would they let us take him?

Tell me why they are interviewing DC's? Assistant HC/LB coach isn't as good as being a DC. I think this hjas been in the works for awhile. Mike Nolan brought Singletary with him, and if Mike said I want to go home...I think he might let him.

If Singletary is such a hot up and comer in the coaching ranks, why let him leave if they dont have to?

maybe they dont think he's an up and comer...or maybe they feel he just isnt a defensive coordinator, or maybe his philosophy of what he wants to do and Nolan wants to do are two different things...who knows

I guess if a low level coach says they would like to be some where else there isn't much sense in stopping them.

Obviously thinks he isn't ready yet-he's about as inexperienced as Garrett if you think about it.

It is more frightening that Nolan has interviewed people like Dave Campo and Greg Manusky, and has passed over a coach who has the title of assistant head coach and has been around for two seasons.

It does make you wonder.

But Sparano received a promotion here and took on a more or less OC role. That's not happening with Singletary in San Francisco.

49er fans are under the assumption that Nolan wants someone at DC that will be in that job for more than 1-2 years. They seem to think its common knowledge that Singletary will leave for a HC job sooner than Nolan would like his new Dc to leave.

If you cant put together a smart game plan than your worthless. Teaching a position is one thing but Calling a defense is another.

I dont like the idea of him as the DC. I'd rather go with Bowles out of those 2.

Only person off the top of my head I can remember saying it was Ditka but I remember others saying it too but cant remember who it was.

Probably also the reason the job hasnt been given to him in San Fran because the way the guy motivates you think it would be his job but evidently it isnt.

Jason garrett has no experience calling plays but that's OK. But one of the Best Middle LBs in history doesn't know how to call a defense:bang2: u don't become great MLB not been the captian on the best defense ever

Ditka, lol. link? please. Others who, actually i watch NFL live all the time NFL newwork all the time and haven't heard nothing about singletary not been able to call X's and O's
