Romo has two small broken bones but he MIGHT be playing - with a Bye coming up. That could possibly be an idiotic decision.

By all account, the current Romo injury is unrelated to the corrected bulging disc issue.
He does not risk anything by playing...except that it will be insanely painful.
The pain alone could cause him to play poorly and make poor decisions.
See game 1 this year (still stiff and not quite ready) and the second half of the Detroit game several years ago (meds for broken ribs wore off) to see potential downside.
