Wide Receiver help

I'm very interested in seeing what Williams does this year. If he moves forward then I'd consider resigning him. If not then let him test the market.

I agree with White being a progress stopper. He lost a step. You'd have to look into his situation carefully to find out why. Perhaps there is something correctable there in which case he might be a more viable candidate.

I think the more productive of TWill and Butler will be offered a decent contract. Maybe the other a less offer, or let them test the FA market.
I doubt they can keep both, if they are about the same, then who do you keep. But could be who is willing to take the contract offers first.

if we need a 12 year veteran to push us over the edge, we're too far from said edge to have him to do it anyway.

That is not true at all.....many teams add a vet or two to get that last step towards going all the way

I wouldn't give either a new deal.....we already wasted 10m on Beasely and we need to get a real burner to play opposite of Dez......Witten moves like an iceberg...we need some top-end, sideline to sideline deep speed

Too old, too slow. We need to get younger and faster. By signing older players you are stunting the development of the youth. Just my opinion, but we need to stop thinking retreads unless we have no options available.

This.

Dallas had the opportunity to upgrade the WR position; they passed on Shepard from OU. They must draft a WR in 2017. They will draft a WR in 2017.

Aside from the future (and eventual) replacements for Romo and Witten, the Cowboys offense is as close to being set as an NFL offense can possibly be. Granted, it would be nice to have a significant threat opposite Dez; but far from necessary. The Cowboys have much more pressing need's on the defensive side of the ball.

I would love to say to load up at WR, but I don't get how Kellen Moore or Dak Prescott will be able to maximize the talent.

There are Laurent Robinsons cut every August. If somebody good ends up in the street they need to take a serious look. I am not as impressed with the WRs on this team as many are.

RT and WR2 are the weakest starters on offense.

That WR2 makes a lot of plays as long as the QB1 and WR1 stay healthy, though. Williams flounders as a lead dog but he's a heck of a complementary receiver; like he was in 2013 and 2014.

If that is the case then why did he disappear for half of the season in 2014 as well? At best TWill can be described as inconsistent.

or i could have said it like this....

Bringing Roddy wouldnt hurt. Slow as he is, he is still better than most of the WR we have on this roster. He can still give you 6 yards on 3rd and 5 and I think he is better than most slot corners.

The reason why he had a bad year imo is because Ryan targets only the number 1 receiver on most plays. Add that with bad pass protection and you will not get the targets. Also, the Falcons found success running the football and that was something they werent expecting to do.

Devin Street doesn't seem to want Devin Street's job. If White's not your 2 or 3, why bother? The Falcons know him best and they can't use him.

Just saying any wr we pick up will be fighting for Street's job and must play special teams. Our top 4 wr's aren't going anywhere.
