Watch we get a boat load of picks in a sucky draft. :(
Can trade comp picks now. Use them and trade up in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round to get game changers if the draft ends up sucking. I do know one thing looking ahead. The OT and Oline class in general is gonna be better then this years.

It also makes it more of an option to trading future picks you know you have if you have a good idea of what you've got coming. As in, if you thought about trading future picks to move way up this year, you'd know you could count on getting several quality comp picks.

yep. this year would of been a great year to have them. gonna be able to easily find starting Corners & safeties all the way into the 5th round if not top half of the 6th. One positive i guess is that their are gonna be a good amount priority UDFA's and we seem to hit on them often.

True. If we know we lost a player that will get us a 3rd or 4th comp pick for sure then it makes it easier to pull the trigger on trade ups on day 1 and 2.

Tell the Bucs that we'll throw in Dunbar for free. Where were they years ago to take Hayden off our hands?

I don't think any of our free agents are going to be cheap when there are teams flush with cap to spend. The Buccaneers are up there and can throw funny money at Wilcox that we simply won't be able to match without compromising ourselves. This is called "doing whatever we want in free agency".

Well if we had to over pay Id rather over pay for Church.

Edit: depending on how close they are.

I'd rather keep Wilcox. More upside.

I would too at a reasonable deal, because Church is commanding more than Im comfortable with, if Wilcox is anywhere in that ballpark then Im out on both I suppose?

I may be in the minority, but I thought Wilcox would become a legit safety.

To me, he looked much better toward the end of the season.

Of the two, I would've preferred signing him over Church.

If that's the case, it sounds like the Cowboys will be losing both Church and Wilcox. I expected them to be able to keep at least one of them.

They've both had ups and downs and I think we can do better. Problem though is trying to replace them with better in the same offseason.
Defense was always going to be our focus this spring, but mainly DL and CB. Now safety is going to be a glaring need too.
