I may be in the minority, but I thought Wilcox would become a legit safety.

To me, he looked much better toward the end of the season.

Of the two, I would've preferred signing him over Church.
I agree with this, we just lost Church apparently...JJ was my preference from the start, think he's finally coming into his own, would be a tough blow to take, losing him.

I guess when you're faced with the reality of a secondary of Jeff Heath, Byron Jones, Anthony Brown, Orlando Scandrick, and Leon McFadden, all you have to be excited about are those glorified fourth round picks that you get to trade now.

Depressing. If they stood put, that would be the worst secondary n NFL history. 1976 Creamsicle Buccaneers level bad.

I fully expect a starter to come out of the draft, but the question at this point is whether one rookie starter is enough.

Right now, if Dez gets hurt, our lead receiver is Brice Butler.

The draft will be about the secondary, so no pass rush help.

God forbid an offensive lineman gets hurt. Or Witten.

Getting thin.

But those don't come into play until next year's draft.

That matches our timing perfectly.

See, Garrett has never fielded a winning team in back to back seasons, so this season is a lost cause. We got to be thinking about 2018, that is when we peak again.

Whew, I need to step outside for a sec after realizing your completely right. Those are the only DB's we have under contract isn't it? Wow.

If that's the case, it sounds like the Cowboys will be losing both Church and Wilcox. I expected them to be able to keep at least one of them.
Keep one without over paying that is. Church seems to be getting a huge contract from Jax and If Wilcox gets more than $2 mill a year then I am ok with loosing both. Jones, Heath, Frazier and draft pick work for me.
