Wild Card chances still very real...

Tucker is our LT, Peppers is their LDE so yes, they will be matched up.

The left defensive end lines up on the defense's left, which is across from the offense's right. Peppers will be going against Petitti, unless he switches sides.

If we want to make the playoffs we have to win out. I don't think we can make it on tie-breakers ecept maybe against Atlanta. We all look like we have one gimme and one close call. We really need all of the competition to drop one. I think we're done and maybe better off if we don't make it, but at gametime and thoughout any game I want us to win at all costs.

Dallas 10-6 or 9-7 (current conference record 6-4):
at Carolina - ???
vs St. Louis - W

Tampa 10-6 (current conference record 7-3):
vs Atlanta - L
vs New Orleans - W

Commanders 9-7 (current conference record 8-2):
vs NYG - L
at Philly -W

Minny 9-7 (current conference record 7-4):
at Baltimore - W
vs Chicago - L

Atlanta 9-7 (current conference record 5-5):
at Tampa - W
vs Carolina - L

MInnesota has to lose atleast one game (asuming we win out).

Washington has to lose atleast one for us to get in ( asuming we win out).

The ATL loss today was big now they are back tracked with a Conf rec of 5-5

Please, we won't win, much less win out- the last win for the 2005 Dallas Cowboys came against the Kansas City Chiefs. Carolina will ram it in without any lubrication next week.

The one thing I have learned from this team this year is to expect the unexpected. We were supposed to get killed by Denver and only lost due to a miss FG. We held Seattle down and blew that one, blew the one at home against Washington, pulled it out of butt in Philadelphia and San Fran, beat KC etc.

Other than a few who now say they expected a blow out, who really figured we would lose by 28 to ANYONE.

Stop Steve Smith and we definitely have a shot.

Yeah but amongst all that topsy turvy BS, one thing *has* been consistent for a long time now.. we cant score on the road.

So ya, we can beat Carolina.. if we can hold them to about 9 or 10 points.

Didn't we say that about Washington last week?

Yeah, very true. I can't wait for inevitable "This is the biggest game of the season" thread sometime this week.

IF Dallas, Washington and Minnesota win out and Tampa drops the one to ATL, then we get the 6th seed... WASH gets the 5th seed (possibly 3rd seed if NYG loses to Oak)... we would have the common games tiebreaker on Minn and the SOV tiebreaker on Tampa...

however, Minnesota will probably lose to Chicago and @BAL will be very tough for them.

No not true.

If Minnesota wins out and Washington wins out we're out no ifs and buts.

Minnesota holds the tie breaker with a better COnf record.

Reading all those scenarios, all I can think of is Vinnie Barbarino saying "I'm so confused".
Here is all you need to know...........

Thur 11/24 Denver L 24-21
Sun 12/4 @ N.Y. Giants L 17-10
Sun 12/11 Kansas City W 31-28
Sun 12/18 @ Washington L 35-7

Does this look like a playoff team to you?????

If so, one you think stands a chance of winning on the road?????

Ok, I think most will concede a victory in the last game against St. Louis, so if we can beat Carolina next week (a big if, however they look very beatable these days) and Washington loses one of their final 2 games, we are in.

It's still nonetheless pathetic how in TWO divisional games this month-we came out with heartless and lethargic performances from the word go.

It's been the same issue since training camp...how our O-Line fares is how far we will go...enough said.

The team is wobbly right now, they are losing (have lost) their confidence...

I will always root them on but the fact is that this year has been one big tease....

Minnesota holds the tie breaker with a better COnf record.

Wouldn't we have the same conference record if both win out?

We would be 8-4 as would Minnesota.

The Commanders have the tie breaker on us, I know that much.

Yes, we need a loss from Minny (versus @BAL or (Home)CHICAGO).

With the Bears, Giants, and Panthers all at 10-4 - the Bears should be playing hard to hold onto that #2 spot.

The fact that all 3 teams are 10-4 certainly help with the Giants (against the skins next week) hoping to overtake the Bears for the #2 seed and a bye.

That does hurt a little though - Carolina will not lay down for us next week for the same fact.

But I digress...

Minny must lose one game of the two.

Giants must take care of business against the Skins next week or our hopes fall to Philly.

We must (seeminly do the impossible and) take care of business and win out.

Atlanta is behind us by virtue of conference record.

People, people, people. Just because at this moment the Vikings own the tie breaker doesn't mean they will own it in 2 more weeks. The only reason they have a better conf. record now is because they have played more conf. games. We win out, and minnesota is not an issue. We win out, then the only potential problems are tampa and washington.

Why would Tampa be a problem?

Tampa as it stands holds teh lead for the first Wild card spot. I think they will hold the lead.

We are playing for the last spot against Washington ATL and Minnesota.

Frankly-we need to work on our OL issues starting Jan.

Parcells made alot of good moves in offseason 05(to counter some of his bad 04 moves). Hopefully in 06, he'll start filling the rest of the holes.

Not that we should throw in the towel-but if we make the playoffs, we're gonna get killed. We're only wasting our time out there.
