If he is better then Witten this could be one hell of a duo....also what area's do you think he might be better then Witten in?
have fun....
It was a different year, so it really does not matter at all where the two were drafted in their two respective drafts IMO.I was just thinkin',Fasano was drafted higher then Witten
Also I would love to know how Witten really feels about the signing of Fasano...

and plus hes going to be rich in a few weeks
-- I think Fasano can be a Dan Cambell with better athleticism and better hands. But there really no way hes going to be better than Witten, Witten is the 2nd or 3rd best TE in the league

AsthmaField said:He could be better, but it won't be easy... Witten is a very good player. I think he'll be a better blocker and like someone already mentioned, Fasano has a knack for finding the soft spots in a zone, so he'll make his share of catches.
Both of them playing will take opportunities away from each in the number of passes they can catch, but it should increase the effectiveness of the entire offense.
I think they'll compliment one another very nicely. Fasano will be playing more of an h-back role and he'll be the motion guy. Witten will play more of a traditional TE role on the offense, so Jason probably will have more catches. Together, along with TO and Glenn, they should provide quite a problem for defenses and should create mismatches constantly. I can't wait to see how teams will try to defend the two TE set.
Of course we played a lot of two TE sets last year... but having Fasano instead of Campbell opposite Witten will be a whole different story for opposing defensive coordinators. Will they go to a nickel and try to cover the TE's with DB's? If they do, our running game will jump all over them. Will they stay in their base defense and try to handle those guys with LB's? If they try that... I think Jason and Anthony will have a field day against them.
The nice thing is... we should stay in that lineup pretty much the entire game, so teams won't be able to key on personell changes to dictate which defense they should be in. Our offense will be able to dictate the flow of the game.
It should be fun to watch!

we got a damn good one in witten any team would LOVE to have right now. yet for some it just doesn't seem "enough".
StarAmongStars said:It's going to be extremely difficult for teams to defend our offense this season...both Witten and Fasano should prosper as TO is likely to draw all kinds of attention.
I wonder if there will be enough balls to go around between them, TO, Glenn, Crayton, MBIII, JJ, etc?
I don't see where you got that Fasano doesn't have soft hands, I believe he was thought to have had the best of all the TEs in the draft.thats7 said:I'm hopin he blocks better. Isn't Witten's best attribute.
Fasano is a bruiser and doesn't possess the soft hands like Witten, so I'd think it hard pressed to surpass him in that category. I'm more along the line of them complementing each other very well. Nice balance at the TE posoition. However the kid has yet to play an NFL down, so again, we're waiting.
