Will Bobby Carpenter be traded?

Despite your stupid signature, you make a lot of sense here.....we should have never drafted busty carpenter. I had the freak graded in my top 10 overall prospects....Lawson is a STUD and we will regret not taking him. :banghead: :bang2:

Which is why it shocks me so much that 20 NFL teams did not.

Watching college football on your couch is not "scouting."

Not even if you are wearing a boy scout uniform?
:p:

This evidence settles it. TO is tearing this team apart. Team Obliterator strikes again.

I won't argue that.

However I just have a hard time reading a title that we should trade our first round pick and take anything after it serious.

Just flat out annoying with some of these silly threads IMO.

Nov. 2nd :) WVU @ UL. I will be there when my Cards get sweet revenge on those Eers.

I'll take David's analytical abilities to scout players over yours every day of the week and twice on Draft days.

An awful bold statement about an unproven rookie.

It's hard to give much weight to those who claim they can tell you with absolute certainty about things that are yet to be determined - know it alls aren't typically very credible.

Fellas.....every spring there are players that are hyped up beyond belief because they played on a great college team...Carpenter is no exception here.

Now there are also players that come along that played on average college teams that don't get much attention and fly under the radar....Lawson is that type of guy. He is the reason that Mario Williams went 1st overall, and also the reason that McCargo's stock rose to 1st round status as well....The Freak is a playmaker and anybody with a ounce of football knowledge would know this.

I'm not a homer....and I'm not going to sit here and defend busty.....he is what he is and our front office dropped the proverbial ball big time on this one. Lawson would have made our defense a truly elite unit. We rolled the dice and gave away shanle and fujita thiking this bum was going to be a star and we came up on the short end.:banghead:

So you are saying you are not going to like my trade Bobby Carpenter for Randy Moss thread?:D

The only thing you said that makes any sense is that some players get hyped and some fly under the radar.

Your logic fails horribly in somehow thinking this proves Carpenter will be a bust and Lawson a star. Your mind is creating an imaginary link.

The fact is that Carpenter "MAY" end up a bust, and Lawson 'MAY" end up a stud, but the evidence is a long way from being in. The opposite could be true.

Your ounce of football knowledge that you think is superior to the 20 or so teams that passed on Lawson just doesn't impress that much.

And as i said, know it alls who claim indisputable advance knowledge of events that have yet to occur just aren't credible.

Add to that know it alls who claim superior knowledge to NFL coaches and scouts aren't credible either.

I can't improve on what you said. Kudos.

what a joke.....we could of really used a talented OL, our draft stunk no wonder everyone gave us a C or worse

That's why we shoulda traded that Stauback bust. Dude was a 1st round pick, and couldn't even get on the field the first half of his first season. Since ALL 1st rd. players should contribute from day one, I can't believe we didn't see what a dud he was & gotten something for him....at least a 7th rounder & Mike Phipps from the Browns.

Oops, my bad. Can't believe I misspelled the name of one of my favorite all-time players. I think you get my drift, though.
