Will Cowboys Trade for a player this season before the deadline?

Question is does Jerry Jones believe you guys are a super bowl caliber team? Maybe he'll give up a future 1st rounder to someone, that future 1st rounder ends up being a top 5 pick. Oh no wait, I have him confused for Al Davis.
our future 1st round picks need to be used on drafting o-linemen, free safety(maybe strong safety too) and linebackers. you can find good wrs beyond the 2nd round.

Yeah, I agree with you 100 percent.

I dont know why people act like a trade here would be craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy to believe LOL.

Roy williams last year, T.O comming to Dallas all unrealistic things that happened...You just never know in the NFl. Be easy on the noob.
We didn't trade for Owens, he was a Free Agent.

How often do teams make big trades in consecutive years? We made the RW trade last year. The chances of another this year are slim and none.

Ya and I actually want to look foward to the draft this year.

Not having a first takes alot of the fun out.

And we added the third rounder in that trade for the added benefit of getting to use Roy Williams during the '08 season.

That didn't work out so well for us.

I hope Jerry Jones now understands how difficult it is to bring in an outsider during the season and expect big things right away.

to be honest I think Jerruh will be looking hard at our pass rush and if it does not pick up by the trade deadline he will be looking hard.

I think it has worked out just fine.

I meant that getting to use Roy Williams last season didn't work out so well for us.

It actually hurt the offense to put an injured player still learning the offense out on the field as a starter in front of Patrick Crayton.

Trading for a "name" player in-season rarely produces the desired result immediately.

Trading for a "name" is not that bad.Trading for a skilled position player can be "trying" since they have no experience in the system.Trading for a nose tackle whose job is to stuff the run is another story.I'm not trying to say they need a nose tackle, just saying.

I wouldn't take Crabtree if the 49ers wanted a 7th round pick and he would accept 7th round money.

The last thing we need is a primadona, selfish, DUMB, "me" ROOKIE receiver. Imagine if this kid actually produces, his ego would be bigger than Cowboy Stadium. IF we're gonna trade for a receiver that fits those qualities, he better have a track record of producing (ala Brandon Marshall)

dont forget Emmit Smith held out in his rookie year (think he missed the first game) and the year after they won the 1st SB (missed 2)

so how are you liking your new defensive end Greg Ellis?

He looked great first two weeks, against Denver I didn't really notice him. Pretty good free agent signing so far. Now do you guys have a veteran QB we can borrow?

What do you think about Jamarcus Russell?

haha, I'd like to keep Huff thank you. He finally is playing well this year.

Jamarcus, I guess i had false hope for him this year but those young receivers and horrible play calling probably doesn't help him. I'm still not sure if the Raiders ruined him or he would have been bad in any except maybe some ideal situations.

I thought he was terrible at LSU. Al Davis just slobbered over him when he saw Jamarcus throw 60 yards from his knees. Too bad that's a "down" in the NFL..
