Will Cowboys trade for an impact player?

My gut says no but with the trade of Robbie Anderson today, will The Cowboys try to add an impact player? On offense we could use some TE help. I know our young TE’s are coming along but will they be ready to make a push late in the season? Also, are we sold on Anthony Barr as our OLB? I like him in certain situations but IMO he’s not an every down LB. I also wouldn’t be opposed to adding a new CB. Preferably someone a little more stout than Lewis and Brown. Thoughts?

The Cowboys should always be looking to add a player if it makes sense. If I were the Cowboys I would be looking to add a player that can help “inside” in snuffing out the run.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but I would absolutely love if the Cowboys made a move for a Derrick Brown type of player. As much as I like our DTs I don't really love any of them.

Barr has been solid and getting praise for his play.

Good CB's don't get traded. It's just that simple. Brown is fine. The Cowboys have depth they like for the future. Especially Bland.

No definitive answer there, but I would say its actually more of a scheme issue than anything. Not knocking it either, but this defense is all about getting negative plays. This dline is extremely aggressive and is going to give up some yards on the ground sometimes. You stop the run by playing controlled and not getting moved out of position. This defense is all about creating chaos and this DLine is about rushing to get to the QB. You do that you're going to open up some lanes from time to time.
