Will Cowboys trade for an impact player?

Dont need anyone there. We do have Washington coming back at some point and then hopefully Shultz can get healthy. The problem is the QB, not the pass catchers.

CeeDee is not a #1 WR. Not a good one anyway.

jmo, our biggest weaknesses are still the same as the off-season, LG, WR, and Center

Sorry but that is a dumb offer as no way Dallas takes on a $20M+/year WR and no way Carolina accepts that BS offer for both Moore and Brown. Send them our garbage for their top players? This isn't doctored Madden.

Ok how is it garbage?
Pollard is a beast says alot of you. Very young and healthy. Hill is having an awesome season young and has lots of control.
McGovern can play RG in Carolina and Tolbertvis a young wr with loads of potential and lots of control.
Your essentially getting 3 picks .

Moore and Brown would be fair for that package and that's that. Madden my ***

My gut says no but with the trade of Robbie Anderson today, will The Cowboys try to add an impact player? On offense we could use some TE help. I know our young TE’s are coming along but will they be ready to make a push late in the season? Also, are we sold on Anthony Barr as our OLB? I like him in certain situations but IMO he’s not an every down LB. I also wouldn’t be opposed to adding a new CB. Preferably someone a little more stout than Lewis and Brown. Thoughts?
If you call DT an impact player then that may not happen. The Cowboys have not value DT since the Landry and Johnson days (exclude Parcells).

Derrick Brown should be an all out target. He would make this team unstoppable.
I get we have some studs at DT who are growing. But Jesus Derrick Brown is a big step ahead of them. The rotation would be strong with him here

An impact players means one that is much much better than what is already on the roster.

Robbie Anderson is a good example.

There was no point for the Cowboys to trade for him because he's not better than what they have now.

What team is going to trade away a LB that is significantly better than Anthony Barr?
- I would have to be a older player that the current team did not plan to re-sign.
- Even bad teams don't give away quality young players just because they're bad this season.

Talking about impact players where has # 27 Kearse game gone ? I’m seeing Hooker involved and other then playing matador on Browns TD catch Wilson has played well and has avoided injury . But at this point would almost rather see Mukuamu get some reps on obvious passing downs as a ball hawk .

The overall run support from the safety spot is lacking with again the exception of # 6 Wilson .

Just go get Suh. He’s free.
He could mentor the young kids. Why not? We have a rotation. He wouldn't have to be an every down player. The challenge is he probably wants to be paid as one. Is he healthy? Why didn't the Bucs want him back?

So you want the Panthers to give away a top rated WR and a recent 1st round DT for a soon to be free agent back-up RB, a soon to be free agent DT that hasn't shown anything, an OG that many wanted replaced, and a 3rd round drafted WR that couldn't get on the field?

Not even Madden would accept that trade.

But it’s not. I think they literally showed a stat on ESPN about how we have the highest percentage of drafted players on the roster in the league.
The Cowboys obviously have a high % of drafted players on the roster, but that doesn't mean they keep every player they draft. Clearly they do part ways with players, it's just that their preferred method of replacing players is through the draft, which goes with one of the reasons I gave about why they aren't likely to make a trade mid season - they hate giving up draft picks.

Agreed!! I want Derrick Brown or Matt Ioannidis from Carolina. If the Jets were in sell mode I'd want Quinnen Williams above all

Probably could have got him last year, but the Jets are doing better and he's playing really well for them. Team is not willing to be a player for other teams' players.

do you think that’s a linemen issue or LB issue? Me personally. I think that the issue is at LB.
Same. I don't think LVE is an awful player. He has the body for MLB, but doesn't do it. Gives me Anthony Hutchins vibes, and honestly I think Hutchins is/was better. Hopefully D Clark comes in and shines.

You're right though, I saw multiple runs last game where LVE didn't fill the gap, but rather chased inside only to be beat outside shortly after. Their RB did his homework.
