Pay Pollard first
Schultz is already getting paid. The issue is he's a free agent and I don't think you can tag him consecutively. The other issue is being a multi-TE team with talent for the foreseeable future helps you formulate your identity as a team, too. More and more shorter passes in NFL trends.. Look at Brady, even Dak.

Rarely do we see long bombs in the NFL anymore, so playoff TEs can make or break a good team. But I hear you. I just think that that's why you saved money.. on the cap this year, so you can get them both signed.

First of all, I might be the biggest fan of our young TEs, Hendershot, Schultz, even McKeon. But if you're Dalton Schultz and you're logging nearly 100 yards and 2 TDs along with some key blocks in the playoffs after being tagged in somewhat of a prove it year, and you keep that up moving forward, you might be making a case to justify getting the payday you want.

Schultz, and the other TEs, have been Dak's so-called security blanket.

What I really like is something I heard in McCarthy's press conference after win at Bucs: that Schultz actually goes to the QB meetings.

He had a slow start this year with the injury early on, but if he closes with a bang, Schultz could be on his way to earning that payday he was wanting this offseason.

Only time will tell, but if I was Dalton Schultz, I'd continue attending those QB meetings.
Schulz ypt this year was 6.5.
Rico was 6.4.
He's only had one season in his career over 7, at 7.8.
Ferguson, 7.9.

And. Blocking.

We paid *way* too much for Schulz this year. Move on to Ferguson next year.
